Koifish Pendant Necklace
Just about everyone in the swinging '60's wore a swinging pendant like this groovy tasseled textured embellished wonder. On 24" of silvertone chain that can be fastened with a spring ring clasp dangles a rectangle of semi-psychedelically worked solid silvertone or possibly pewter metal with polished raised areas and antiqued recesses. In the center swims an applied koifish decorated with faux pearls and turquoise colored balls from textured head to jeweled tail. He swims among applied bezes loaded with cabs of all colors--green, dark turquoise, light turquoise, red and black. Hanging are 5 fringes of silvertone chain, some with silver and turquoise beads. Width is 3" with length from top of the pendant to bottom of the lowest dangle about 5". An unsigned but heavy, well made beauty in Excellent condition! $58

Marvella Necklace with Pink Crystals and Big Faux Pearls
Back in the 1950's, someone wore this necklace to rock around the clock. Bring out the saddle shoes and the poodle skirt! Well made and heavy for it's size, partly graduated plastic faux pearls measure in at 20MM, or about 2/3" diameter, vying for attention with high quality glass crystal beads of pure pink! This necklace clasps at a maximum of 17 1/2" with an adjustable J-hook complete with a rhinestone sparkling on the end! Condition is Very Good, with no peeling pearls or cracked crystals though one pearl, the third from the J-hook, has a small nick. This beauty has aged well, and it's yours for $58

Goldette 1960's Giant Swinging Pendant Necklace Here is a wickedly beautiful, boldly designed and highly collectible piece fit for an Amazon queen! The necklace features quality Singapore style chain leading to a 5" wide 5/8" thick curved gold tone centerpiece of textured with polished areas contrasting with matte recesses. Dangling are teardrop shaped black plastic cabochons set openback in textured bezels with golden dagger drops swinging below. These flank a beaded chain with the second thick curve shape; forming a kind of swing, tinkling more dazzling dangles. Swaying in the middle is a chunky single cab in a striated bezel; at 1 3/4" x 1 1/4 and rising a full inch from the surface, it is a respectable sized pendant all on it's own! Total pendant length is an Amazonian 7 1/2 inches! This primitively beautiful and dramatic necklace is signed Goldette(c) in script on a raised oval on the back the biggest cab's bezel. It's difficult to measure this necklace, but if laid out straight without regard to the dip in the center it clasps at about 16", but the curve at the collarbone ads an extra couple of inches. I tried it on my large neck, and it fits nicely with the top of the centerpiece straddling the collarbone. The J-hook clasp makes the necklace adjustable for shorter lengths. Enjoy this fine collector' piece in Excellent condition. $110. |

Queen Lacy Golden Pendant Necklace
This unusually feminine and beautiful necklace does not show up on the scans as well as it looks on. It's light, lacy character can be part of a festive look for the holidays, or wear it to the office or on a date, but I would prefer to wear it to parties with a gem toned dress or pants outfit--how about silky lounging pajamas? The necklace looks like something a bejeweled queen of old might embroide to her dress. The chain is made up of jointed crescents decorated with textured circles for a lace-and-eyelet look. The pendant portion is rounded like hips, and jointed only in the center. For a look both lush but delicate, the pendant itself is 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" wide. The chain clasps with a spring ring at a generous 18". This golden delight appears to be circa 1970 and is in excellent condition. Enjoy year round. $48 |

Gala Pastel Mod Lucite Necklace Here is a genuine 1960s Mod necklace perfect for any springtime gala, from picnic to party to that baseball game. This 24" necklace is hand strung with 18mm bicone faceted Lucite faux crystals in a pastel of pink, blue, lavender and clear, with an occasional silvertone spacer. These multicolor beads are a translucent confection; the colors absolutely clear and brilliant. Wear it as a necklace, or in your hair as a headband. Springtime MONET
Cloisonné Pastel Necklace Cloisonné & other enameled jewelry was quite popular during the 1970's, and Monet produced this beautiful piece to make for happy springtime wear. Although the necklace is not marked for gold, our tests show the floral design is outlined in 14 k gold plate and filled with pink, ivory and pale blue green swirly enamel. The 8 1/2" curved centerpiece is 1 1/2" wide and is held by pink silk cord leading to a gold plated chain and hook adjustable clasp. A real beauty, I tried to get the pastel colors just right, to no avail. The enamel that looks yellow is actually a much paler ivory color, the blue green is pale and the largest star has white in the middle rather than yellow! The pink & coral enamels are also pastels. The combination is quite pleasing. Necklace is in nearly pristine condition with no wear on the enamel or gold tone and with a clean pink cord. Signed in back (c)MONET. Enjoy the scarce beauty. $58

Mesh Pendant Necklace with Huge Midnight Blue Stone
In this simple but stylish Art Deco Revival offering from the 1970's you get the elegance and rich look of gold mesh, two attached strands on each side, leading to an enormous prong set faceted glass stone of midnight blue. The 1 5/8" oval unfoiled sapphire glass is is set openback in heavy prongs, and enhanced with an overlay of pave crystal rhinestones in gold (very sparkly, bright stones). Dropping farther is another round crenellated gold tone pendant, making the entire pendant drop 2 3/4". Length of the chain is 15 1/2" on each side, totaling 31", not counting the pendant drop. This lovely, heavy, high quality piece fastens with a lobster clasp and spring ring and is in Excellent condition. Enjoy for $58

Vintage Sarah Coventry Crusader Cross Pendant Pictured in the 1975 Sarah Coventry catalog. What a lovely gift this cross pendant would make. It is not only stylish but also beautiful, with a silvertone--possibly rhodium plated--filigree similar to the delicate platinum or white gold Edwardian filigree from the turn of the century. In cups with decorated edges, white faux pearl cabochons and purple glass cab in the middle make a glowing combination with a clean & fresh look. Sparkling Black & Brown Crystal Fringe Necklace Parure What a delightful find! Don't you love the look of fringe necklaces? They draw attention to the bust line so reliably that it's guaranteed *he* will notice. This one will add elegant sparkles to the picture with the unusual combination of black & clear warm-toned pale brown (or mink) crystals! Circa 1960, the necklace offers beautiful quality faceted glass tea-colored crystal beads, with smaller bicones and including black bicones for accent. The matching circular brooch is wired with an inner ring of brilliant very pale golden bicones finished with brass endpins, and encircled with brown and black crystals. The 7/8" clip back earrings complete the parure. Please note that although it's obvious the pieces are a matching set, only the earrings are signed. I've seen another set like this one as well, but the without the brooch. The necklace clasps with a spring ring at 22", the fringe dangle, held in a gold tone finding, is about 3 1/4" long. $110

Whiting & Davis Large Cross Pendant This gorgeous Etruscan-style cross is partially covered by a sterling vermeil openwork decoration. There is no wear at all to the gold finish. There are no sterling marks on the decoration, probably because we can't see underneath it, but it did test as sterling vermeil. In the center of this vermeil openwork fixture is a 15mm citrine or light topaz colored rhinestone. The base cross has a shining gold tone finish, which has some very minor fleaspotting/ wear on the back. The cross measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" with cross bars over 1/2" wide. The Singapore-style chain is 30" long with sturdy spring ring clasp. The 'Whiting Davis' signature is found on the oval hangtag. The necklace is in very good, clean condition. #N950 $65.00 |
