Exotic
Sterling Hand with Marcasites and Garnet Colored Stones
Beautiful and unusual, at first I thought this sterling hand brooch was genuine Victorian, but you can tell from the rolling safety clasp that it is a later piece, anytime from 30's to 1960's. Its a well made, fine jewel with genuine marcasites set in the ribbon rolled around that lady's wrist and forefinger. Below is a sleeve of scalloped beaded sterling decorated with garnet colored stones. I do not know if these are real garnets. The cut like modern glass tones set openback. This is a thick piece, very heavy for it's size, marked 925 faintly inside the hand. I've seen nothing like this, except there have been hand pins with long mandarin fingernails, but not like this. The brooch is 2 1/2" from tip of long fingernail to bottom of ruff, and 1 1/4 wide. Excellent condition. $68 |

1970's
Art Nouveau Revival Cloisonné Lady with Butterfly
For something impressive that can be worn with casual clothing for a look that is chic but different, here's the brooch for you. The enamels are in several shades of blue, green and teal and colors in between, with the lady's white face. The scans don't show how the gold enamel sparkles forth outlining the nouveau-esque design. A pretty jewel, highly representative of the times during the late 1960's and throughout the 70s. The lady is 2 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide. Excellent condition. $38 |

Rhodium Plated Anchor
Pendant with Big Rhinestones Circa 1970, when the look of molten metal came briefly in style. I believe this may have been a Jewel Creations piece, but I no longer have the catalog photo pages to prove it. The pendant, not counting the bale, is 3 7/8" long and 3 3/8" wide at the widest point, and hangs on a 24" silvertone chain with spring ring clasp. Excellent condition. $58

Vintage Signed JJ Geometry Blackboard Brooch I have no idea what the figures etched on the polished pewter 'blackboard' mean, but you can bet someone does, and that's the gal (or guy, to use as a tie clasp) who will appreciate this clever design. Another fabulous JJ pin with terrific detail! Five charms dangle merrily from bottom, from book and calculator to an apple for the teacher. The dangling ruler is actually useful; it measures exactly 1" long! Total measurements including the dangles are 1 3/4" wide x 2 3/8' tall. are The pin, as well as all five charms, are signed (c)JJ. Sweeping JJ Gold
Plated Glamour Girl The price on this brooch is a bit higher than the usual JJ pin, because this one is scarce. I had to pay a lot for her, but have you ever seen another? Egyptian
Revival Brooch with Colored Beads & Charms
This unusual offering will evoke an aura of mystery and add color and style to daytime or party wear from a plain T-shirt to a silk blouse, jacket or purse! And wouldn't it look great pinned to just the right scarf? The large brooch shows a lovely Art Nouveau lady face repousse like gilded brass plate, backed by a brass floral and foliate filigree stamping. A gilded chain festoons below with dangling multicolor beads and brass lady face charms. The back offers are very early safety clasp that works well. I suspect this may be a 1930's piece, but may be later. The beads are light weight colored glass; they are not all perfectly round, but irregular in shape. In addition are rhinestones--on the lady's the lady's helmet a red stone in a serrated setting, and two flanking the sides in floral cup settings. The light blue stone is a bit smaller; it may be a replacement. The brooch is 3" wide and and 3 5/8" tall from top to the bottom of the lowest dangle. Very Good condition. |

Kenneth Lane KJL Asian Balinese Dancers Pagoda Necklace Out there is the collector (you?) who has been waiting for just this necklace. Kenneth Lane makes great jewelry, but also, I love pendants like this because of their exotic character and slimming vertical lines. Because of the lobster clasp this piece is dated to at least the 1970's. Two bejeweled Balinese dancers, a man and a woman, cavort from gold tone dangles hanging from the central pendant, a gold tone pagoda delightfully shaped and textured. The faces of the dancers are clear crystal rhinestones, and their clothing is studded with multicolor stones. From the 25" necklace chain, the total pendant drop, including bail, is 6 1/2" and can be detached from the necklace to be worn as a brooch. Signed (c)KJL in two places, on the oval hang tag and on the back of the Pagoda, the necklace is in Excellent condition. $68 |

Unique Siam Sterling Neilloware Bracelet The unusual design of this wide bracelet is very scarce. Each link is a leaf shape, complete with silvery veins and the dancer ( Mekala, goddess of lightning?) holding a snake in 2 of the links, and in other links her hands drop pretty sparkles from a bowl, and in other links, star-like sparkles come from her hand. The bracelet is wider than usual at 1 1/2" wide, but it clasps with a push in V-clasp at only 6 1/2", so this is for a small to slender- medium wrist. The enamel is perfect; there is a bit of tarnish on one side of the clasp, but the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed SIAM STERLING on the clasp. A one-of-a-kind beauty, a must for the collector of beautiful sterling jewels. $68

1980's Deco Lady Bisque
Doll Face Brooch Pin Most of these pins were hand made and quite popular in the late 1970's. This lady has a bisque face with bright blue eyes and a little red bow mouth. Her red felt cap is lined with hand sewn golden sequins. She is surrounded by a sheer black organza ruff with golden edging around the hem, and at her throat is a puff of black fur. She is just so glamorous, your alter ego perhaps. The backing is better than usual, gold tone metal with a riveted pin mechanism with safety clasp. Excellent condition. $28 |
