Little Made in Austria Aurora Borealis Crystal Pin & Earrings Set

For high sparkle without excessive ostentation, this vintage Austrian bouquet set fills the bill. Set on silvertone wire that twists to and fro, the crystals in their prong set cups twinkle pink, blue & green AB lights alongside clear and citrine colored rhinestones. The pin is 1 3/4", and the matching clip back earrings are 1 1/8". Very Good condition. Earrings marked on clips "MADE AUSTRIA" and pin marked on plate in back, MADE IN AUSTRIA. $32

Vintage Fiery Crystals Floral Brooch from Austria.

For the holiday festivities, or just looking hot, go Austrian and enjoy this sparkling crystal brooch. The lively floral design is brilliant with stones in HOT colors, including ruby red, siam and fuchsia prong set stones on gold tone wire. There are a couple of purple accents. What a mix! Brooch is 2 1/4" tall x 1 7/8" wide and marked AUSTRIA. Very Good condition, with very minor wear in back. All rhinestones sparkle like the devil!

Fabulous Authentics (VanS Authentics) Diamante Maltese Cross

Circa 1960, very scarce, possibly rare. This fantastic piece is for the collector or for the wearer who loves making a bold statement with jewelry. Also, this is the kind of jewelry where you can spend your money and have it too--the prices of pieces like this one can only go upward. Authentics, once owned by the Joanne and Reginald Moonan, manufactured many Maltese cross designs and other jewelry until 1969. This one is quite large--2 3/4" x 2 3/4"--so you can gauge the size of the fiery crystal chatons. The largest, in the middle, is 3/4" in diameter and prong set at the top of the slightly domed shape of the brooch. Smaller chatons are coronet set, all in the aged brass base. The signature has wear but you can see enough to make out VanS Authentics. The number is in the 2,000's and ends with 7, but is very tarnished and hard to see. We cleaned it up a little, but left enough to keep the evidence of this beauty's age intact. The high-lead crystals are clear and brilliant. Very Good condition. $88

Vintage Avon Jade Green Thermoset Cross Pendant

Enjoy the elegant simplicity of this cross pendant with jade green thermoset insert in gold tone metal and crossed with gold tone chains. The gold tone reverse didn't scan well, but it glows so beautifully that you could actually wear the cross on the reverse side for a different look. The cross measures 2-1/2" X 1-1/2" and comes with it's original 26" chain, signed Avon on the golden hangtag near the clasp. Excellent condition. $18.00

Avon Book Piece Coral Enamel Paisley Earrings

For pierced ears. Featured on page 140 of Judith Miller's COSTUME JEWELRY, these openwork gold tone paisley motif earrings are collectible and will look gorgeous on, with the three shades of pink and coral enamel to complement practically any complexion. These 80's delights are decorated with golden enamel and beading around the pinks and corals. The earrings at 1 1/2 by nearly 1" are substantial and surprisingly heavy for their size, an example of some of Avon's finest. Signed (c)AVON in back and equipped with studs for pierced ears, the jewels are in Excellent, clean condition; in fact, I doubt they've ever been worn. $18

Beautiful 1976 'Romanesque' AVON Silvertone Filigree Cross

One of the most popular and beloved pieces of Avon jewelry, my mother had one of these, and I have my own and wear it occasionally. Beautiful multi-colored glass navette cabs imitate different colors of gemstones--faux lapis, jade, turquoise and coral. The round center stone imitates hematite very effectively. The setting is a remarkable antiqued beaded filigree openwork which includes heart-shaped motifs. Well made with a good weight, the dimensions of the cross is 3" long x 2" wide, and is suspended from a textured 23 1/2" textured link chain with spring-ring clasp. Signed Avon in back. Excellent condition. $24

Avon Green Thermoset Drop Earrings

Maybe you already have the necklace that matches these darling clip earrings, but if you don't, wouldn't it be fun to find it? Simple drops have a white half bead on the gold tone clip finding and dangle a pleasingly plump green thermoset teardrop. Total length is 1 1/2". Signed (c)AVON on each clip. Barclay Chunky Green Rhinestone Pendant Choker Necklace

Barclay manufactured jewelry during the late 1940's and early 1950s, and you can track some of the styles of those times by their creations. Here is one of their classic styles, a pendant necklace piled with prong set emerald green rhinestones in a rich gold tone twisted and beaded setting with gold tone snake chain. The clasp has an art moderne fillip and is signed Barclay in script. The centerpiece is 3" wide, and the double pendant is 2 3/4" long. Necklace clasps at 15". Very Good + condition. $82

Barclay Diamante Drop Pendant Choker Necklace

Such classic elegance, such a warm yet dignified invitation to...look. And even in the most impossibly low-cut top, you will look like a nice girl in this circa 1940 jewel. High quality smoky or shadow crystals and clear pastes are prong set in thick gold tone openwork bow-and-flower links with central florets in pretty toothed cups. The pendant is a shield and fan motif, complete with track design. The necklace has a nice weight and clasps at a nice choker length of 15 1/2". Width of links are 5/8". The actual pendant is 1 3/4" long, with total centerpiece length drops 2 1/4". A lovely, hard-to-find piece in Very Good condition. $85.00

Vintage Barclay Necklace & Bracelet Demi with Red Stones

Enjoy the rich look of fine jewelry in this floral necklace with ruby red prong set rhinestones, accented with clear crystals in metal settings that epitomize the full aged golden color of late 1940's costume jewelry. The necklace adjusts to up to 16" with J hook; centerpiece measures a bit less than 3/4" wide. The matching 6-link bracelet clasps at 7 1/4" and is 3/4" wide. There is aging on the finish in back. Both pieces are signed Barclay in script. Very Good condition.

Beaujewels Bowman & Foster went out of business in the 1970's. These jewels are always beautiful. The ones I have seen are made with riveted backings. This kind of construction is NOT unique--many costume jewelers used it, particularly during the late 1940's and 1950's including Weiss, Coro, and Judy Lee. Don't accept an unsigned brooch as Beaujewels unless you have seen the signed earrings.

Fiery Flashing Topaz Amber Beau Jewels Beauties!

The clip earrings in this gorgeous set are signed, the brooch is not; when I bought them I was sure they were a match, but on closer inspection it can be seen that while the stones match in color and size, completely, even the large ABs, and all are prong set, the settings of the earrings are brighter gold tone than the brooch, and on the earrings, the navettes are prong set in dog tooth cups. So I can guarantee that only the earrings are Beau Jewels. The brooch might as well be; it is absolutely outstanding, all prong set with huge AB round chatons in a volcanic color, and the central triangle stone (not as red as in the picture) has a shining heart. Stones of all shapes and sizes seem to be exploding from it! The brooch is about 2 1/4" on all sides; the earring are 1 1/8" tall and signed on the clips BeauJewels in art deco print. One of the earrings had minor finish wear I spotted under magnification, all other pieces are Excellent. $62

Berberi, Edgar~ A master of epoxy enamel jewelry, beginning for about 1980 to the late 1990's. Since then he has concentrated his artistic drive in other areas and has not created any more jewelry lines. In my opinion, Berberi jewelry is still inexpensive enough to be a great investment for those who love to spend their money and have it, too!

Berberi 1980's Colorful Epoxy Enamel Clown Earrings

Not only are these classic Berberi, but reflect the enamel styles of the 1980's to the zenith. Six colors on white in a cloisonné style golden setting, these jewels make for bright, joyful fun. For pierced ears, these dangle 2 1/8"--not counting the earwires. One earring still has the Berberi sticker, which is his earliest 'mark.' Excellent condition. $28

Les Bernard The former Vogue jewelry company, in business since 1938, became Les Bernard in 1963. See Ann Pitman's section on Les Bernard jewelry in her book INSIDE THE JEWELRY BOX, first volume. Jewelry is high in quality, and offered many imaginative designs throughout the 1960's. This jewelry house closed in 1996.

Les Bernard Fabulous Dragon Pendant

Another 1960's impressive and dramatic beauty, absolutely exclusive to that era, a multi-ethnic gold tone design, complete with motif of four incredible dragons with whirling tails; ancient coin dangles, and carved faux jade. The pendant is 4 3/4" tall x 2 5/8" wide and hangs on a 20" Singapore style chain. Very Good to Excellent condition. Signed on the back of the pendant on a round raised oval LES BERNARD INC. So many of these fabulous large 1960's pieces came with paper hand tags, and signed pieces are especially hard to find, so better buy while it's still possible! $95

Bogoff~ 1946 to 1970. Made high quality jewelry, mainly rhinestone sets, but this designer also used pearls, beads, and metals. This is a scarce, highly sought after signature.

Bewitching Bogoff Blue & Clear Rhinestone Necklace Set

This delicate, gorgeously designed Bogoff jewelry is a princess length necklace packing plenty of icy brilliance, with rhinestones in all shapes and sizes shimmering like frozen fire, set in rhodium. The dangling centerpiece is a full 1 3/4" wide and drops 1 1/2". The necklace clasps with a foldover at 16". The 7/8" x 5/8" screw-on earrings are star-shaped, and their brilliance will put stars in eyes!

Bonetto This company made beautiful ladies' hinged bangle watches, rhinestone watches and watch pins during the 1980's as well as collectible clocks. Many of these, particularly the ladies, appear to have been put together by hand. Bonetto today is producing watch rings, so these lovely collectible clocks and watches of the 1980's are long gone, unless you get lucky!

1980's Ravishing Pink Hat Lady Bonetto Watch Pin
A shy, feminine lady could be your counterpart, or maybe you just feel that way today. This lady watch pin by Bonetto will enhance your flower of femininity look--with style. Her face is hand painted; if you look at the alternate view below you will see that one eye peeks sweetly from beneath her sparkly pink chiffon hat, which is laced with pink teardrop rhinestones and a big pink rivoli rhinestone as well as clear & AB navettes and big teardrop faux pearls. She's further decorated with a bisque pink rose at her neck, more faux pearls and a silvertone textured leaf from which the watch hangs. It says "Bonetto Quartz" and the numbers are marked with crystal rhinestones.
The watch runs perfectly with a brand new battery. This irreplaceable jewel totals 3 1/2" tall x 2 1/2" wide. The watch by itself is 7/8" in diameter. Stones are bright and clean; this ravishing pink hat lady is in Excellent condition. $58

BSK Bracelet & Earrings Set with Multicolor Rhinestones

It's hard to tell in the gallery picture how the pearly glass navettes are light iridescent pink; it's almost as if they have purple or pink stripes in them. You must click on it to get the bigger picture, and see how different and how beautiful this really is. The rhinestones are more pastel than they turned out in the pictures; on the 1 1/4" clip on earrings the pale amethyst, pink and mint green absolutely sparkle. On the bracelet we have a couple of AB rhinestones in shimmering crystals colors, as well as pink, green and a single sparkling jonquil stone. Exquisitely feminine, this impressive set will look terrific with your summer tan, or the perfect set to wear to garden parties, on Sundays, or on any day you want a fresh, clean look. The bracelet is 1/2" wide and clasps with a foldover signed BSK. It is also signed on one of the bracelet links, but that has faded. The earrings are also signed. BSK Champagne Rhinestones and Faux Turquoise Floral Brooch Set

Did you realize that these lovely BSK rhinestone jewels in top condition are harder to find than Miriam Haskell jewelry? BSK prices are rising, and probably will never be this affordable again. In this design, the flower petals have unusual shapes; it's almost as if the flower wants to be a Maltese cross! The champagne rhinestones are wonderfully clear and sparkly, much more so than the scan could convey. The center stone is a big 15MM and is just gorgeous in it's coronet setting. The gold tone openwork is just studded with chatons in half prong settings along with tiny turquoise beads. The brooch measures 2 1/8"; the matching clip back earrings in round swirl designs are 1" . Everything is in Excellent condition to make a thrilling gift or elegant day to evening wear! Enjoy for $48.

Lovely Signed Czech Pin with Big Blue Sapphire Glass Stone.

All you need for the center of that cream silk shirt is this pretty little brooch marked on a plaque in back "CZECHO." This genuine vintage beauty from old Czechoslovakia may have been made in the 1930s-40's before WWII. Based in an oval shaped golden filigree design, the 1" wide stone is set within not only a bezel but also in filigree prongs. The entire brooch is 1 5/8" wide by 1 1/4". The surrounding stones are lighter blue, but on close inspection one looks a bit darker than the others. Very Good condition. $42

Charel Charel is best known for Art Moderne moonglow Lucite thermoset jewelry of the 1950's. In my opinion, most jewelry marked Charel is is as well made as Lisner jewelry.
