Rare;
Fabulous Copper & Confetti Lucite Set
Jewelry like this set has been quietly disappearing from the market, but even so, have you ever seen a bracelet and slide pendant necklace like these? This weird & wonderful unsigned set is attributed to Selro and verified by the owner of the Selro Selini page, and expert in this designer. The style of bolo or slide necklace, including the decorated clasp is identical to other Selro pieces. The bracelet style is much more rare, but I have seen another piece with these long confetti Lucite cabs, as well as a copper set. The copper settings are set with thick dark gray-green Lucite rectangles with masses of multicolor glitter inside. The dark gray green is reminiscent of dark tidepools with glowing shells sparkling from the bottom. I've held onto this set for a long time, but its now available to whomever appreciates it as much as I do. The bracelet is enormous at a full 2 1/2" wide. It clasps at 7" for a medium wrist, but keep in mind the width; it is a bit snug on my medium wrist. On the necklace, the 2 1/2" slide is 1 1/4" wide; the dangles are 7/8". One side of the distinctive Selro is 12"; the other is 11" and of course you can adjust the slide to any length within 23" total. These scarce & unique jewels have spots of tarnish in the usual places. Very Good condition. $155 |

Unique Siam Sterling Neilloware Bracelet
The unusual design of this wide bracelet is very scarce. Each link is a leaf shape, complete with silvery veins and the dancer ( Mekala, goddess of lightning?) holding a snake in 2 of the links, and in other links her hands drop pretty sparkles from a bowl, and in other links, star-like sparkles come from her hand. The bracelet is wider than usual at 1 1/2" wide, but it clasps with a push in V-clasp at only 6 1/2", so this is for a small to slender- medium wrist. The enamel is perfect; there is a bit of tarnish on one side of the clasp, but the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed SIAM STERLING on the clasp. A one-of-a-kind beauty, a must for the collector of beautiful sterling jewels. $68

Regal Blue/Green Aurora
Borealis Rhinestone Peacock Brooch Unsigned, attributed so Sphinx. Sphinx made unsigned pieces for customers who wanted to sell pieces as their own, or because they were in a rush to meet demand--and who wouldn't demand such a proud, princely sparkler? His smart array of feathers means this boy wants to charm you, and maybe he can! Little faux pearls in half prongs dock the ends of each large feather, flanked by blue/green AB stones and followed by another set of gold tone textured feathers topped with more stones. His graceful body is plump with stones, and he offers glowing teal & gold enamel from his neck. He's high quality and heavy for his size. Measuring in at 1 7/8 x 1 7/8, he'll add a noticeable touch of sparkle and color to your ensemble. Condition is Excellent. With the quality of Sphinx and the price of an unsigned beauty, he's yours for $58 |

| Steiner, Ernest ~ Scarce designer, made jewelry during the 1940's. | |||||
|
Very Scarce Vintage Retro Dress Clip by Ernest Steiner
This early 1940's ribbon spray is unsigned, but has the design patent number 105034 located inside one of the ribbon loops. A lookup of this Ernest Steiner patent shows that this clip, designed by Ernest Steiner (Steiner of New York) is a variation of the design in the drawing, with the same ribbon but teardrop rhinestones on the ends of the spray rather than round stones. Variations on patents were common with many designers, including Trifari and Coro. This clip is unusual and beautifully designed with the multicolor teardrop stones prong set set openback. The metal tested as having some silver content, and the golden finish is a gold tone alloy. It measures 2 1/2" by 1 1/2". Condition is Very Good ++, with wear of finish only on the textured clip mechanism. An elegant, rare clip to add to your collection. $85

Swoboda Huge Jade

Large thin crescent moon and heart shaped slices of spinach jade bound in textured gold plated bezels will be unrivaled anywhere you take this. Held to the light it's quite semi translucent, and worn against a rust colored sweater or pink shirt you will be the most striking woman in the room. The remarkable pendant will be worn just at the collarbone and down into the décolletage, for an emphasis that will drive him crazy! The pendant, counting the textured bale, hangs a full 5 inches, and articulated heart dangles keep the movement lively. The widest part of the pendant, at the lower tier measures 3". Signed (c)Swoboda Inc. on a plate in back, t his pendant is almost as pretty in back as it is in front, with the bezels holding the hearts ornately decorated. This could be your favorite Van Dell pin, so representative of the mid1940s WWII era with it's yellow & rose gold wash, and the expansive flowers that bloom out like fans. Weiss Pink Glass Clip On Earrings. Out there somewhere is a necklace, and maybe a bracelet to match these, but why not wear them by themselves? Pink enhances most complexions, and while the opaque candy pink color of the prong set cabs evokes sweet femininity, the oblong shape retains a moderne, no-nonsense quality. The stones are set in rhodium plated findings and measure 7/8" tall x 3/4". The earrings are in Very Good condition, with minor wear on the rhodium under the clips that I can barely see in reading glasses. No chips or cracks in the candy pink stones. Signed WEISS on the clips. Enjoy! $24

Rare
Weiss Painted Enamel Egg Brooch In years of buying costume jewelry, I have seen only one other enameled egg by Weiss; it was pink and it was already sold. This is a rare pin, probably made in the late 1960's, just before Weiss closed its doors. Weiss made a some highly collectible enameled pieces during those years, some of which are now being counterfeited; real ones, except for some of the enameled flower power pins, are all fairly hard to find. This one does have a textured back; but the texture is different from the kind found on the counterfeits. The basic color is red, crossed on the diagonal with gold tone lines, making diamond motifs in which white flowers with green foliage are enameled. This unique brooch measures 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/2 wide" and stands 3/4" high from the surface. There is a small amount of wear to the enamel that can be seen with a loupe but nothing substantial. Very Good condition. Signed (c)Weiss in an oval in back. $135 |

Weiss
White Milk Glass and Crystal Rhinestone Necklace SOLD Classic Weiss, this darling old fashioned beauty will take you from winter white to summer sun. You can wear it from sophisticated daytime occasions to evening. Set in silvertone metal, the prong set white glass stones are arranged into a centerpiece of graduated lengths, from a double row of small white stones followed by a shorter row of brilliant diamante to end with a pretty row of emerald cut oblongs. The crystal rhinestones don't photograph well next to white due to contrast issues, but I assure you they are not gray or cloudy, but each one sparkling. The necklace clasps with an adjustable J-hook up to 15 3/4", and of course, can be tightened for choker or collar length. The centerpiece is over 7/8" at the widest point. Signed WEISS on the endstone. Very Good condition with minor wear to plating in back (can be seen under magnification). |

And why not? This set is so stylish, so versatile you are bound to wear it again and again. | Elaborate
Whiting & Davis Large Cross Pendant This gorgeous Etruscan-style cross is partially covered by a sterling vermeil openwork decoration. There is no wear at all to the gold finish. There are no sterling marks on the decoration, probably because we can't see underneath it, but it did test as sterling vermeil. In the center of this vermeil openwork fixture is a 15mm citrine or light topaz colored rhinestone. The base cross has a shining gold tone finish, which has some very minor fleabites/ wear on the back. The cross measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" with cross bars over 1/2" wide. The Singapore-style chain is 30" long with sturdy spring ring clasp. The 'Whiting Davis' signature is found on the oval hangtag. The necklace is in very good, clean condition. #N950 $65.00
