Pretty
Little Circle of Medallions with Red & Green Enamel & AB Rhinestones
An unusual pin for your collection, and best of all, to wear, is this petite pin of metal molded or cast and decorated with Etruscan or Moorish design elements. The metal appears to be brass; each dome shaped medallion is hand painted with green and red and surrounded outside and in with AB rhinestones that cast a pinkish/gold/topaz sparkles. Very pretty, and very unusual. Marked in an applied brass oval, Western Germany. 1 1/2" in diameter. Very Good + condition. $28

Late 1940's
Sensual Femme Blue Rhinestone Floral Brooch
So reminiscent of Grandma's day, this type of wild floral in a post retro design and those like it were stylish in the late 40's and early 50's. This is more 40ish, with the classic Retro tied 3-stem bouquet, but now with a multitude rhinestones shipped from Europe. The design is regal, sensual, and grand. Highly feminine beauty it's desire almost has a Greta Garbo stance! But if brooches were to be named, I would call this one Lilith, with all the mystery of stars against a deepening evening sky. This sensuous jewel is 3 1/2" tall, 2" wide, and has a golden plating over silver colored base metal. Detailed wavy leaves and flower cups are laden with pave crystal rhinestones along with buds of openback unfoiled sapphire blue ovals as well as a central floweret of small crystals tones and sapphire blue navettes. This unsigned beauty is in Very Good condition--all the stones are bright and clear; there is very slight wear on the plating. For you, $58 |

Very
Scarce Vogue Belts Enameled & Bedazzled Floral Shoulder Brooch
Grandma might have worn this lovely piece of costume jewelry to do her holiday shopping or to wear for Thanksgiving dinner. This layered post metal floral is actually upside down in the gallery picture, it is meant to be won on the shoulder of a coat or jacket with the flowerhead downward accentuating your shoulder, neckline and bustline, and bringing some color and sparkle near your face. See reverse photos for the position of the pin assembly. This late 30's to early '40's beauty has survived with most of all of it's red and most of it's white enamel intact. And the pave clear rhinestones are still flashing their happy stardust. The brooch is 3 1/4" tall x 2" wide and has a rare signature in back: Vogue Belt Chicago. Very Good condition. $125 |

Big Fiery
Rhinestone Sunset Brooch!
Here is a breathtaking jewel for your nicest outfits. There are so many designers who made these kinds of brooches, I can't even guess who is responsible for this beauty. However, it is intricately created in four stacked layers, a quality piece with good heft. Made up of prong set stones including topaz flame navettes in sawtooth cups, light and dark topaz round chatons alternating with the most fantastic golden topaz aurora borealis stones, sparkling flashes of green, gold, purple & blue, like special treasures winking from the mother lode! Accented by pave crystal swirls; the stones are all clustered onto gold tone sprocket (eyelet) settings. Dimensions are 2 1/8" in diameter, but the brooch is chunky, rising from the pinstem in a 3/4" dome. Condition is excellent. Enjoy this very special vintage jewel for $58 |

Florenza Enamel & White Glass Sea Floral Brooch A bit different than the usual flower power offerings of the 1960's, this Florenza brooch bespeaks the rich elegance one can expect from the designer. The flower is shaped in a high dome, the golden sunburst style setting of the flower covered in white glass beads and creamy colored enamel. The stem is a creamy grey green, reminiscent of an ocean flower of some kind. The brooch is 3" tall x 1 7/8" at the flowerhead which rises about 3/4" from the surface. Signed in back FLORENZA(c). Condition is Very Good, with magnification needed to see the occasional spot on the enamel. $48 |

Art Nouveau Revival Plique a Jour
Butterfly
Signed Brooch. I believe this unusual, well made butterfly brooch is circa 1970. In the late 1960s and early 1970's an Art Nouveau Revival became stylish not only in jewelry but also in other media and commercial art. Within the gold tone openwork, transparent colors allow light to shine through. The colors do look like enamel, thicker around the edges and thinner throughout the center. The clear colors are reddish, teal, and yellow in Gold tone openwork setting, accented by high quality clear crystal bezel set rhinestones. Measurements are 2 1/4" tall with 2" wingspan. Signed in back SFJ. Excellent condition. $58.

Huge
Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Brooch Pin with Gold Circa 1900-1930s. This colorful profusion of wild roses and forget-me-nots is simply one of a kind, with its green foliage, subtle shades of yellow and blues, plus the margin of bright gold surrounding the lovely oval, which is a bit more rare than the burnished gold glazes. Someone painted a labor of love on this one. For anyone who collects these beautiful pieces, or who simply appreciates the sweet nostalgia of yesteryear, this is the perfect gift. Would make a beautiful addition to the latest romantic dresses, but that's not to say you can't dress up your leather jacket with it! The porcelain is flawless, the paint and glazes still bright and without chips or scratches. Dimensions are an enormous 2 5/8" x 2", which they called "belt pins" in the old days. Women used them to fasten fabric sash belts. This could be a later (1930s) piece, for the brass setting has an applied safety clasp rather than an open C. However, the porcelain may be much earlier, and re-set at a later date. The safety clasp certainly makes it easier to wear safely! Excellent condition. $68 More antique hand painted porcelain brooches and pins |

HUGE JJ Golden Panther Brooch Add some jungle drama to your look with this fabulous golden panther. The detail is wondrous indeed, showing ribs, muscles, teeth, claws, and that whip of a tail! Let him crawl lovingly across your jacket lapel, heavy blouse, sweatshirt or sweater. Hmmm, seems a little naughty, doesn't it? Dimensions are 4 1/2" long x 2" wide if you wear this brooch vertically as in photos, but you can also wear it horizontally. Signed JJ 1986. We tested the brooch with our metals tester, and; like many JJ jewels, this brooch is 14K gold plated. Excellent condition. $42 |

Victorian Black Matte Enamel Mourning Pin This late Victorian mourning pin was probably worn as a waist pin, and may even have come with a set. The design may possibly be repousse, or cast into the metal; I don't think this is machine stamped. Some minor wear along the curved backside is bright silver colored. This wear canbe seen only under 10x magnification. Otherwise there is no chipping or wear to the enameled finish. This pin is 2-1/4" long x 3/8" wide and has an open C-clasp. Very Good Condition. $28 |
