Whiting And Davis Crystal Intaglio Cameo Grand Parure

Finally, here's almost the entire set of the famous intaglio jewels by Whiting and Davis from the 1960's era when cameos were once again  the height of popularity. You can see these pieces in several well known vintage costume jewelry books, including COLLECTING COSTUME JEWELRY 101 AND 202, both by Julia Carroll and Fred Rezezadeh's Costume Jewelry: A Practical Handbook & Value Guide.

The cameos are etched on the reverse side of the thick ovals of beveled high lead content crystal giving out a the carvings a frosted look in their in regal coronet settings. The metal is lovely gold plated filigree openwork, except for the ring, on which the netted filigree is imposed over sold golden metal. The twisty, textured and scrolling filigree creates and heightens your most romantic look. The well known little German headband girl looks like a princess suspended in ice! But her handsome prince is on the way....

There are 3 pieces to the demi parure  The pendant is quite  large at 2 3/4" including bail, and hangs from the 21" chain with the Whiting Davis signature tag. The ring is size 8 and is signed on the inside of the band. The clip earrings are also signed. These wonderful classic jewels sparkle and glow, and will enhance your natural elegance and taste.
