Sarah Coventry Faux Opal Contessa Demi Set

Here's your chance to own or give this scarce book piece - the much loved Sarah Coventry "Contessa" demi of pendant/brooch an dangle earrings. Each piece is signed (c) Coventry and set with gorgeous simulated fire opals and pink, purple and olivine rhinestones in antiqued gold tone baroque openwork fittings. The largest stone is set openback--notice the lovely crown ornament on top of the brooch. The brooch is 3 1/4" tall and the clip earrings are 1 1/2" long. Vintage Sarah Coventry Crusader Cross Pendant

Pictured in the 1975 Sarah Coventry catalog. What a lovely gift this cross pendant would make. It is not only stylish but also beautiful, with a silvertone--possibly rhodium plated--filigree similar to the delicate platinum or white gold Edwardian filigree from the turn of the century. In cups with decorated edges, white faux pearl cabochons and purple glass cab in the middle make a glowing combination with a clean & fresh look. Hanging from the 21" chain, the cross is 3 1/3" tall x 2 1/4" wide with a good thickness. Marked on the back (c)SARAHCOV. Excellent, like new condition. $28

This striking pendant set was is one of Sarah Coventry's contribution to an Art Nouveau revival all the rage in the 1960s-1970s era. The large pendant is 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" and hangs from a 21" snake chain with Sarah Coventry hang tag.  Both pendant and matching 1 1/3" clip earrings hold the warm radiance of of faceted unfoiled topaz glass, prong set openback. Notice the openwork is decorated with both textured and polished gold tone.  The set is in Very Good to Excellent condition. All pieces are signed. The look is yours--warm, mysterious and alluring. $58

Sarah Coventry Evening Snowflake Brooch Demi Set

This beautiful vintage set dates from the 1960's, and is one of the most desirable Sarah Coventry sets. Whether you wear this with that little back dress for evening romance, or throughout the holidays to get into the mood, you will wear this set again and again. The brooch is big, bold and sparkling with pave clear crystal rhinestones with their own signature "twilight" rhinestones in the centers, stones very much like the famous Weiss "black diamond." Midnight Magic Set Big Dark Topaz Glass Brooch Pendant Bracelet Earrings

This unsigned set of magnificent jewels, much beloved in the world of vintage costume jewelry, was produced by Sarah Coventry in 1957. Most pieces of this set are unsigned, going out as hostess gifts. The set is featured in several books, including Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry Vol. II, by Marcia Brown, page 150. It is also featured on page 271in Julia Carroll's book, Collecting Costume Jewelry 101.

The japanned framework features giant rectangle beveled glass stones that look black in some lights but are actually a very deep, smoky topaz. The window pane framework makes it appear, from the back, that there are four to 6 stones in each frame, but it is single, stones specially made that would be impossible to replace except from another piece. Around each windowpane bright pink rhinestones are set in gorgeous contrast. The bracelet comes complete with safety chain and is 1 1/4" wide, clasping at 7"for a medium wrist. The brooch/pendant is 2 3/8" x 1 1/4" and the clip-on earrings are 1" x 1 1/4". This set is in Very Good+ condition, with sound finish and clean bright stones with only minor spotting to foil on the back. $155

Autumn Splendor Dark Pink Swirl Lucite Leaf Pin

A favorite pin by Sarah Coventry back from 1975 is Autumn Splendor, but with that heart melting marbled dark pink color, this jewel must be springtime and summer splendor as well. Guaranteed to brighten any complexion, and what could be better than the dash of happy color it brings when you wear it. This is a nice 1/8 thick slab of thermoset set in smooth, faultless goldtone, 2 7/8" tall and 1 1/2" wide. This is a book piece brooch, featured on page 151 of Mid-Century Plastic Jewelry, by Susan Klein. The earrings are hard to find; I promise to be on the lookout for them. Meantime, enjoy the brooch in Excellent condition. $28

Very desirable for collectors, this large brooch and earrings were given only as hostess gifts starting in 1971. The goldtone filigree nests red aurora borealis rhinestones along the double layer of petals. In the center, a larger stone rests within a filigree 3-dimentional bud. The heart of the jewels, deep red aurora borealis rhinestones, glow with tiny fires. This brooch is nearly 4" long with matching 1" 3-layered clip back earrings Excellent condition. $48

Carousel Huge, Colorful Bracelet & Earrings Set

Sarah Coventry's Carousel bracelet with matching periwinkle-blue clip-on earrings is sure to be just the jewels to brighten your day. The pearl finished thermoset long oval cabochons in the earrings and bracelet are are a color between blue and periwinkle--bracelet cabs also include brown, maroon and olivine. The brilliant ornate rhodium plated setting strikes quite a contrast with the colored cabs and are sure to draw attention. Until you have these jewels in your hands, it's hard to realize just how large they are. Sarah Coventry Galaxy Brooch & Earrings

Circa 1964, this medieval revival cross motif is one of the loveliest Sarah sets, never widely distributed because it was a "Hostess set," meant as a gift for those who agreed to have a jewelry party with a specific amount of sales. The beaded goldtone openwork cross setting holds beautiful multicolored cabochon teardrops. I cannot tell if these are glass or hard, heavy plastic. Whatever it is, gold foil is marbled within. The accompanying faux pearls and aurora borealis rhinestones make the brooch and matching clip backs a feminine treasure! A big set, the brooch measures 3" either way, and the earring are about 1 1/2". All pieces are marked (c)SARAHCOV. The brooch is in Excellent condition; the earrings are Very Good. $38

Brilliant Sarah Coventry Starburst Maltese Cross Pendant & Earrings

In this fabulous interpretation, amber-topaz and champagne rhinestones flash like fire from a golden "diamond dust" finish. These stones are are extremely clear and bright, twinkling like stars from their cups within the openwork base. This is a substantial, quality piece, with good heft. The pendant measures 2 1/2" in diameter and hangs from the 24" original gold tone chain with spring ring. Sarah Scarlet Tears Ruby Glass Pendant and Earrings
