Primitive
Polished Amethyst Chunks Necklace
This is a much nicer than genuine amethyst chips necklace, probably circa 1970, when the real stuff got back into style. Findings are aging brass beads and spring ring fastener. The polished oblong chunks of amethyst show layers of clear quartz, which is how amethyst is found; the smaller all-purple beads appear to be toward the center of the geode. Some of the largest chunks toward the center measure 1 1/2" long. Cold to the touch, resplendent with natural color, you will feel like a savage woodland princess! The necklace is heavy and hangs nicely, fastening at 16 1/4". Excellent condition. $78 |

Cloisonné Bead Necklace Russet Floral
Here's a very pretty necklace from China, probably pre-WWII. The main color of the 8MM beads are russet, or cinnamon. Each bead is enameled with light green and turquoise blue flowers, along with the golden & silver lines. There is no yellow in the enamels; the images show yellow where there is light green. The necklace appears to be hand enameled, with graduated color on individual flowers, and hand made, each bead knotted in between strands. These beads are only 8mm, somewhat smaller than the usual, but the necklace is 20" long and clasps with a golden filigree clasp. Enjoy this vintage necklace in Very Good condition. $48 |

1960s
Victorian Revival Cameo Necklace
Here's that little German headband girl, but this time she's got her picture in a book! You can find this pendant on top of page 58 in Roseann Ettinger's POPULAR JEWELRY OF THE '60S, '70S & '80S. The cameo is white molded glass applied to a black beveled glass oval and set in an antiqued goldtone bamboo style frame. What's really unusual is the goldtone wire twisted en habille over her hair in place of the usual molded glass headband. She's 2" x 1 3/4", not counting the bail. She is suspended from an 18" goldtone chain from the 1970s. We added this chain because the gold was exactly the right color. She can be removed from the chain to wear as a brooch. A beautiful 1960s glass cameo in Excellent condition. $38 |
