So dear! I believe the circular Truart brooches like this one were made in the early 1940s; if you every look through jewelry patents of that time, you will see this style type, a circle enveloping flowers and creatures. This is thin sterling, fashioned in flowing, dreamy shapes and many delightful details. Notice the darling seed pod tendril running to the inside right and curling below the larger bird. The circle itself is 2" in diameter, but the brooch extends 2 7/8" from tailfeathers to tailfeathers. The brooch is in Excellent condition and signed Truart Sterling on an artists' palate shaped in back.   $40

Straight from the 1920s comes this extreme Art deco pin. The engraved gilded metal repeats classic geometric step patterns with some outlined in black enamel. Even finer engravings can be seen within; be sure to see the enlarged image. In the center is an octagon shaped panel of carved jade glass; you can see the carve marks in the back and the hand done look around the openings. These old Art Deco pins are hard to find in top condition, but this one is an exception, with no enamel wear and very little wear on the gilding. A nice size at 2 1/8" x 1 1/8", the pin fastens with an open C-clasp and is in Very Good+ condition. $58

Jaunty Little Spanish Wireworks Rabbit Pin

This darling little dancer and other little wire character pins from the 1940s are sometimes called "Robotics;" you see some of the older unsigned pins and  read about them in Kathy Flood's Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals. We have for you today a faux-pearl face wire enameled rabbit doing a tap dance with a top hat and cane. He sports a golden tapping shoes, a black & silver tux, a red bow tie and an apricot skimmer hat, and just look at those big green eyes! He's 
2 1/8" tall, quite slim, and in Very Good condition, with little noticeable were in the gilding or enamel. Marked in back, SPAIN. Enjoy him! $45

Rare. He's doing what ponies love, prancing wild in a flower-strewn meadow of yellow enameled flowers with green leaves and faux pearls. Decked out with rhinestones in his mane and tail, he holds in his teeth a pink enameled jeweled rose for his lady. He deserves to be worn by someone who loves him as much as I do.

At 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" at the widest, he's a big boy from the early 1950s, around the time Coro was making their pretty horses. My friends insist this brooch is a lost Coro, but he's unsigned. He's high quality with good heft, made from thick cast metal finished with golden plating. The near-Excellent condition is remarkable--I could not find any wear in the plating on the front, and on the back, only a bit along the edges. Rhinestones are bright and faux pearls are faultless. You (and I) may never find another like him. $150

Scarce & unusual gold tone pin shows a pale blue-grey--almost white-- enameled mother bird on a textured branch, guarding a next of faux pearl eggs. She has a dark pink rhinestone eye! This wonderful collectible pin is desirable for collectors--Gerrys made them in several colors. erfect for springtime and would make a wonderful gift year around. The back of the branch is signed GERRYS(c). Dimension are 2" wide x 1 1/8" long. Very Good condition with tiny (I need at least reading glasses to see them--chips in the enamel. $28

Colorful King Peacock Brooch Signed Art

For your year around wearing pleasure is this vintage painted rhinestone fantasy peacock pin. The back feathers are slightly concave, painted deep teal with a layer of goldenrod feathers below, all fanned out in proud display. His dark blue body really sets off his wings of brilliant pave crystal rhinestones. He sports a tiny golden crown on his head, and his eye and beak are also goldtone. As you can see in the enlargements, there is very slight paint loss, not easily seen while wearing. Signed ART(c) in back, the pin is rated Very Good. $38

For fun and laughter, this Gerry's silvertone circus seal with go a long way. He's got smooth paddle feet, textured body and a green rhinestone eyes, and a glowing teal ball balancing on his pretty nose. Danecraft Gardening Bunnies

These busy bunny rabbits may inspire you to get out to that garden and start planning for a big harvest this summer. These are high quality polished gold tone enameled pins, with the lady in a pink apron tending a bird bath and holding a watering can. She's featured on page 87 of Rhinestone Jewelry: Figurals, Animals and Whimsicals, by Marcia Brown. Her gentleman, in blue overalls tows a red wagon loaded with sunripe tomatoes. With black eyes and jaunty hats, they 1 3/4" apiece, and in excellent condition. Would make a nice springtime gift for the garden bunny in your life. $35

This precious little pony can capture hearts. His curls and baby hoofs, loopy tail, big eyes and sassy stance team up to make you want to take him home. Everyone will love him, and maybe you will start your collection of Truart Sterling figurals. He's 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and is in Very Good condition, with tarnish spots in back. I have no idea what kind of fish these are, but someone does.; And you should wear these earrings when you go on that cruise with him. The unusual jewels dangle deliciously from white glass beads and are 1 5/8" long (not counting the earwires) x 1 3/8" wide. The ear wires add an extra 3/4" in length from the earlobe. We tested the plump bumpy fish for gold content and found a 10K gold wash. In back, on a big round plaque, is the mark MADE IN FRANCE. Excellent condition. $28

Adorable Danecraft Doe Deer and Fawns Pin

Costume jewels don't have to have rhinestones to be beautiful. This lovable pin is warm and inviting, showing a doe, in matte gold tone, with her two fawns in polished gold tone. They sit among pink enameled flowers. The pin is 2 1/4" long, signed script D(c) for Danecraft, and is in Excellent condition. This lovely pin would make a wonderful gift. Enjoy. $24

Coro made an entire line of white enameled creature jewelry; I've seen a number of them including a seal and some sort of fish, and others. If you like the way white stands out on colored T-shirts and jackets it might be fun to look for the entire line; they appear to have been done in the mid to late 1950's. On this turtle the white paint lies between the gold tone ridges for an elegant yet fun effect. The eye is also gold tone but looks white in the picture. The adorable pin is 2 1/4" wide and signed in back (c)Coro in script. Very Good condition, with no chips in the enamel but mild wear that can be seen only under magnification. $24

Vintage Truart Sterling Silver Happy Lamb Brooch

Circa mid to late 1940s. This little guy wants go everywhere with you! This hard to find turtle pin is not only a great investment but also a piece that will add a dash of color and levity to settings ranging from office to summer vacation. The highly domed shell is piled high with moonglow, faux coral lapis and pearl beads and cabs, accented with pretty green teardrop cabs on beautifully textured gold tone metal. Complete with winking amber eyes, this little fella is calling for you to take him home! The 2 1/4" long cutie is 1 1/2" wide and chunky, standing 5/8" from the pinstem. SOLDIf you love small, delicate creatures, you won't want to resist this adorable Boucher turtle. Somehow, I keep thinking this little thing is alive! The translucent Mother-of-Pearl appears to be a full, rounded side from the double shell of a tiny sea creature. Now housing the turtle--confident, unpretentious, yet dainty, ethereal.
