For you is one of the much loved signed Swoboda bird in nest pins. It seems they made them all differently! This one is a ceramic bird painted turquoise blue and medium lavender on a gold plated branch loaded with amethysts; she guards her nest of carved howlite eggs. This pleasing arrangement will be an ideal springtime gift or to wear to the May Day parade! The pin is 1 1/2" across and rises 5/8" from the pinstem. Very Good condition and signed (c)SWO Inc. $55

Brightly Painted Grasshopper Pin Signed ART

Look how gussied up this guy is, ready for a date with beautiful you! Those sparkling light green rhinestones on black antennae mean paying close attention, and look at his well-kept spring green body and golden textured legs. I'll bet you can't do that with your legs! He's topped off with a fine crimson collar above a set of wings glazed in goldenrod and orange. His bright little topaz rhinestone eye is watching all that goes on, so he can whisper in your ear. Signed ART(c) in back, this great pin is 2 1/2" long and in Excellent condition, with bright stones and little to no enamel wear. $40

The pictures with this listing did not turn out well, but this silvertone elephant jewel is adorable and in excellent condition, with no wear on the finish at all. This major 3-D elephant has an uplifted trunk for the best of luck, pretty black eyes and twirly silvertone openwork ears and legs. She's textured, full figured, and roaring with happiness that she might find a new home. Dimensions are 3 1/2" tall, 3 1/8" from ear to ear, and her trunk sticks out about an inch from the surface. Not like the usual D&E jewels we have come to know, one of these plump and passionate pretties can be found in Ann Pitman's Juliana Jewelry Reference Guide on page 256. You can also see this this elephant in the confirmed necklaces section of the Juliana Jewelry education site. As with all D&E jewelry, this is unsigned. Again, condition is Excellent. $78

Many top jewelry houses made flamingos, and I think Napier's is one of the prettiest. Pave crystal rhinestones sparkle from the gold tone body, but the tail feathers are really special, with square rhinestones in sapphire blue, ruby red and emerald green winking happily. The celebrated bird has one green rhinestone eye and stand one one gold tone leg, which peacocks sometimes do to stay warm. This jewel is 2 1/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide and is signed in back in block letters NAPIER(c). Excellent condition. $58

I just adore this pretty little thing, which I've had packed away for years and never worn. It's time for Bambi to find a new home, with someone who will enjoy her.. The incredible design offers lush textured gold tone metal sparkling with pink, green, white and aqua rhinestones and cabs set into the metal. A big green navette for the eye, and we have a true beauty. Think of how this jewel will set off spring dresses and shirts. A true Art Deco dress clip of a frog, poised in a linear Egyptian revival design so beloved of daring fashionistas in the 20s and 30s. Made of gilded brass, this Duke of the Lily pad has detailed hands and feet, red ruby glass eyes, and a prong set oval ruby red unfoiled rhinestone. In back is a secure clip. The actual jewel looks much better than the scans. This figural delight is 1 7/8" tall x 1 3/4' wide at the widest. Very Good condition. $65

Who won't love this dear old cast pot metal turtle? His shell is a giant unfoiled faceted sapphire glass navette jewel set with wide prongs. His hands and feet all have individual fingers and toes. He has a cute little tail and red rhinestone eyes. Measurements are 2 3/4" tall from tail to nose and 1 3/4" wide, a decent size compared to the tiny turtles from mid century design houses, but BIG was the style for 1930s and '40s fashion jewels. Equipped with an early safety clasp, this one of a kind turtle jewel is in Excellent condition. $78

Here's another vintage carved cutie from 1950s Japan. Hand painted in bright colors, this carved duck has a spring set head so he can bobble and bounce as you move. He will be a delightful addition to your collection. He measures 2" and is stamped in back JAPAN. Excellent condition. $32

This adorable carved soft wood pin seems to have come alive as a bright puppy with orange ears wide open eyes and polka dot clothes. His neck is a spring wire so he can nod to and fro while you walk. These were made in Japan during the 1950s. This 2" dog is stamped JAPAN and is in excellent condition. Enjoy for $32

Gerry's Golden Poodle Pins with Red Collars and Rhinestone Eyes

Scrappy little Christmas poodles, with red enamel bow collars and green rhinestone eyes. They're little things at 1 1/8" tall apiece, but there's two of them, so watch out! Their pose is endearing, and their price can't be beat. All textured goldtone, both are signed Gerrys in back and are in Excellent condition. $25

Not Takahashi, but still, a lively looking little Blue Jay, hand painted in enamels of blue, green, yellow, bright red inside the beak and a rust brown breast. The black outlines give an illusion of texture. The bird's wire claws grip a tiny branch. It's well made, with a screwed-in pin back. He's light in weight, 2 5/8" long and stands 1 1/2" at the tallest, between the crest and branch. Excellent condition, with normal crazing in paint seen with loupe or in photo enlargement, showing you how vintage this little sweetheart is. $45

Sparkling Rhinestone Bird Brooch with Hand Painted Ceramic.

Pre-1970. This beautiful vintage cockatiel bird is handcrafted, high in quality and has never been worn. It's been pinned to a champagne satin padding and protected in a black box marked "Prestige". There are no markings on the bird. The bird is loaded with pave crystal rhinestones in gold tone with a green rhinestone eye. The body of the bird is ceramic enameled green and coral. The green is not yellow green as it looks in the pictures, but more of a clean spring green. The box also has a tag that says HANDCRAFTED and also Genuine Ceramics Handset. There is no UPC code, which is a clue that it was created prior to the mid 1970d. The tag also adds "hand painted. " The box is worn but still sturdy and in good condition. The bird, of course is near-mint. $45

The textured golden metal of this gracefully designed swan offers glamour and imagination with it's sweep of pink crystal bicones among the tail feathers. Only Kramer could create such a brooch. Princely Green & Purple Rhinestone Peacock

Unsigned, attributed to Sphinx. Sphinx made unsigned pieces for customers who wanted to sell pieces as their own, or because they were in a rush to meet demand--and who wouldn't demand such a proud, princely sparkler?

His smart array of feathers means this boy wants to charm you, and maybe he can! Little faux pearls in half prongs dock the ends of each large feather, flanked by purple rhinestones set against green enamel and followed by another set of blue enamel textured feathers and more stones. His graceful body is plump with jewels; he also offers glowing green and purple enamel. He's high quality with decent heft. . Measuring  2" x x 1 7/8", he'll add a noticeable touch of sparkle and color to your ensemble. Condition is Excellent. With the quality of Sphinx and the price of an unsigned beauty, he's yours for $48

Vintage Truart Sterling Silver Happy Lamb Brooch

Circa mid to late 1940s. This little guy wants go everywhere with you! Just looking at his glowing stance will give your admirers a smile~ This beautifully designed lamb brooch is 2 7/8" tall x 2" wide and made of lightweight engraved sterling sterling silver. He's in Excellent condition and marked, on an artist's palette shaped plate, TRUART STERLING. $52

No one else has this graceful pin. I've searched high and low, and am convinced this jewel is a true rarity. This is a 1950's modernist design done wholly in chrome except for the red rhinestone eye. Tool marks suggest that it was hand made. Measurements are 2" wide x 1 1/2" tall, and the brooch is in near Excellent condition with some minor discoloration near the signature plate in back. A wonderful piece! $135

Just the thought of this bossy little guy will get you up in the morning with a smile. This textured golden rooster stands proudly on his branch with plenty to crow about. After all, his perky comb is covered with red rhinestones, his face and collar with pave crystals! Even his tail feathers radiate with red, blue and crystal rhinestones, all channel set and winking like the devil! Standing on tiptoes and puffing his chest wide, he's a nice sized 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/4" at widest. $78

Big '60s Gold Crown Inc. Pewter Peacock Pendant Necklace

We have for you today this handsome pendant necklace straight out of the swinging '60s, or possibly early '70s. This pierced, openwork pewter or pewter tone beauty is decorated with champlevé enamel in turquoise, cream, red and black. The pendant itself is 3 3/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall and hangs 1/4" x 2 1/2". this strutting peacock is adorned with lots of turquoise enamel with yellow, orange and black accents. The jewel fastens with a J-hook and adjustable chain at a maximum of 24", but you can wear it tighter if desired. Marked Gold Crown Inc on the reverse, this necklace is in Excellent condition. A big Gold Crown Inc. Peacock necklace! $38

If you love figural swans, you simply must have this exquisite little Coro piece. One of Coro's high quality jewels, the swan is beautifully made in textured goldtone metal, engraved on the swans neck and tail. The swan's body is wonderful faux pearl studded openwork, and the swan has a red rhinestone eye. Though the swan is only 1 5/8" x 1 3/8", she seems larger due to her curvy dome shape, standing about 1/2" from the pinstem. Circa 1960, this beauty is signed in back (c)CORO and is in Excellent condition. $38

Rare. He's doing what ponies love, prancing wild in a flower-strewn meadow of yellow enameled flowers with green leaves and faux pearls. Decked out with rhinestones in his mane and tail, he holds in his teeth a pink enameled jeweled rose for his lady. He deserves to be worn by someone who loves him as much as I do.

At 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" at the widest, he's a big boy from the early 1950s, around the time Coro was making their pretty horses. My friends insist this brooch is a lost Coro, but he's unsigned. He's high quality with good heft, made from thick cast metal finished with golden plating. The near-Excellent condition is remarkable--I could not find any wear in the plating on the front, and on the back, only a bit along the edges. Rhinestones are bright and faux pearls are faultless. You (and I) may never find another like him. $125

Designer Luca Razza created an entire line of these big astrology pendants in the 1960s & '70s in several styles. This one frames a pewter cameo of the scorpion in a gold tone modernist setting--very industrial boho! The 3 1/2" (without bale) pendant hangs from a 26" snake chain. Total pendant drop with bale is 4'. Very good condition with glue on the back that looks darker in the image than it is. Goldtone finish is pristine. Signed in back (c) L. Razza. $78
