Dodds & 11 W. 30 Street. Dodds, signed with the "S" backward. There is evidence that 11 W. 30 Street is another signature for Dodds. Dodd's & 11 W. 30th street jewelry offerred many beautiful figural & holiday jewelry, highly collectible. Jewel Creations jewelry is made by the same company. Jewel Creations is all unsigned, but many pieces are the same jewels seen signed Dodds and 11 W. 30 Street. Another way you can identify them is through catalogs they used to publish. |

Two Dodds Floral
Rhinestone Pins Here is a scarce pair of rhinestone scatter pins, one rhodium plated with multicolor rhinestones, the other with a gold color plating and clear rhinestones. They are both signed Dodds with the backward S. I've seen them only once before, with a chain between them to wear as a chatelaine. Each pin is 1 1/2" tall. Excellent condition. Enjoy for $32.

Dodds Blue Rhinestone Butterfly Demi
Parure. Circa 1950s. Dodd's figural jewelry is highly collectible. It is beautiful, well made, and not particularly plentiful. This butterfly set has sparkling, pale blue rhinestones set in a delicate granulated openwork with smooth rhodium plating. The construction is unusual in that some of the cups have 4 prongs holding up a smaller cup in which the chaton is set. It's hard to tell this from the scans. Dimensions of the butterfly are 2 x 2 3/8". The matching clip back earrings are 1 1/4". Excellent condition. F996 $55 .00 |

Rhinestone Turkey Pin Unsigned, but you can find this pin featured in old Jewel Creations catalogs. Three-D construction, this rhodium plated bird has light blue chatons set in it's tail feathers. Vintage Eisenberg New Twist Necklace & Matching Twin Pins
Eisenberg used to make twin pins--small brooches designed as mirror opposites. They are shown in this 1953 Vogue ad with the rest of the jewelry in the series, including the necklace. Today you can have not only the New Twist necklace, but the two matching twin pins as well. Here is your chance to obtain these jewels in top condition! The ad describes the jewelry as a Beautiful, blinding blaze of splendor gem-set like the world's greatest jewels in a new motif of rippling glitter. I did not think that is too much of an exaggeration. The lovely combinations of chatons and octagons set in rhodium are still fantastically brilliant, with all the stones still clear! Delightful Eisenberg Sterling
Rhinestone Pin 1947 Ad Piece What would be the best gift to give yourself for being a sparkling jewel of a gal? You'll love to add this precious signed Eisenberg sterling brooch to your collection. A diamante delight, the wild retro spray pin with pave ribbon curls featured with it's twin in a 1947 Vogue advertisement. The ad reads "Hallmarked Eisenberg Originals...Imported Stones Hand Set in Sterling Silver." The pave and prong set chatons are mainly clear and bright. Under magnification you can see a few smaller stones beginning to age, though none are dark or yellow. Measurements are 1 3/4" tall x 1 1/2 inches wide. It is signed Eisenberg in the middle; on a lower edge is the sterling stamp next to a B inside a circle--probably the stone setter's mark. Very Good condition. Enjoy this treat for $145 |

Erwin Pearl Black & White Bracelet In this sleek 1980's art deco look bracelet you can dress up or dress down with class. Made up of linked gold plated bezels, each with a beaded golden appendage at opposite sides, are alternately filled with black enamel or faux pearls. The pearls are off white with the lightest pink tone--as if a goddess whispered "pink" over the pearls. The bracelet clasps at 7 1/2" with an "S" clasp and is 5/8" wide at the widest points. Fabulous Florenza Etruscan Style Medallion Drop Necklace Florenza parted from Renaissance designs for a this intriguing Etruscan revival necklace worthy of a primitive princess! The vintage a gold tone necklace is designed in a series of textured metal festoons decorated with paisley motifs and swinging with drops with crenellated edges and exquisite beading. All five drops are centered with raised cabochons in all different colors, each decorated with a peacock feather motif. The necklace clasps at 15" with a spring ring; the centerpiece 7" wide and drops 2 1/4" in the center. Signed on the back of the largest festoon is FLORENZA(c) in block letters on a raised cartouche. Florenza Painted Floral Pendant Necklace
For lighthearted everyday wear, this Victorian revival pendant necklace will invoke flowery thoughts as you go about your day, and perhaps bring a smile of appreciation to those around you. The blue flowers will do wonderful things for your eyes. The oval glass in the center of the pendant has been treated to a transfer of blue and white flowers, but also offers a few dabs of white enamel painted by hand, similar to the porcelains paint-on-transfer of old. It's delightful in it's beaded bezels and ornate openwork frame. The fancy bail leads to lacy chain that looks deceptively delicate, for it's sure to hold up that pendant even during a softball game--though I would tuck it in my shirt before attempting to slide home! The 25" chain clasps with a spring ring for a luxurious fit, with the pendant dropping an extra 3 1/8". The pendant without bail measures 2 1/4 tall x 1 3/4" wide. Florenza Pink & Purple Bow With enameled jewelry you can add a splash of color and infinite interest to a daytime outfit without adding a lot of glitz. Here is a pin by Florenza with several unique delights. In the center are little pink & purple soft appendages to look like the center of a flower or sea anemone. Florenza Enamel & White Glass Sea
Flower Brooch A bit different than the usual flower power offerings of the 1960's, this Florenza brooch bespeaks the rich elegance one can expect from the designer. The flower is shaped in a high dome, the golden sunburst style setting of the flower covered in white glass beads and creamy colored enamel. The stem is a creamy gray green, reminiscent of an ocean flower of some kind. The brooch is 3" tall x 1 7/8" at the flowerhead which rises about 3/4" from the surface. Signed in back FLORENZA(c). Rhinestone Maltese Cross Swag Necklace and Earrings Book Piece: Shown on page 82 of Fred Rezazadeh's Costume Jewelry: A Practical Handbook and Value Guide (1998 edition) This necklace & earrings set has been scanned & photographed several times, and I simply can't get it to look as sparklingly beautiful as really is. You'll be thrilled to open the box to this exquisite French medieval cross necklace, and the wonderful matching drop earrings! The gold plated layered and textured openwork holds the exquisite gray-green crystals high. These crystals really shimmer so clearly, like unspoiled tide pools. They are bezel set, surrounded by half prongs and flanked by long, slender black navettes. The main pendant measures 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". It drops from a smaller heart shaped pendant on a separate short chain, so the way it hangs is that the much longer chain hangs on each side in narrow but graceful swags. The necklace clasps at 23" with a large spring ring. The double pendant portion drops 3". The dangle-drop clip earrings are a bit over 1 1/2" long. The necklace is signed FLORENZA(c). The earrings are not signed, but obvious mates. Condition is Excellent. Enjoy this high collectible demi for $95.00 |

Vintage Lilac Acetate Iris Earrings West Germany These unusual vintage clip earrings are large lilac colored irises studded with pink faux pearls and centered with bright crystal rhinestones. The petals are made of a light delicate plastic that is almost brittle and feels similar to thin shell. The undulating dips and curves of the ribbonesque petals are quite attractive. The two-inch earrings have silvertone clip backs marked Western Germany, in small letters at the very end of the outer clips; I almost missed the signature. Very Good condition. $22 |

West Germany Faux Tortoise-Shell
Glass & Resin Cameo Book piece. This design and color of German cameos can be found in Fred Rezazadah's book, COSTUME JEWELRY, on page 201. This left-facing cameo is circa 1960s. A molded resin or plastic cameo is applied to a prong set beveled art glass disk with patterns that resemble tortoise shell, prong set into a scalloped and textured brass frame. Amber-Brown Plastic 3-Strand Necklace Earrings Set This bold multi strand necklace is not for the demure. You'll attract attention wherever you go in this necklace of light and dark Citrin/Topaz/Bourbon colored beads, in the unique style of Western Germany. Asymmetrical acetate plastic beads in graduated sizes are spaced by smaller transparent and AB faceted cube beads, a characteristic of sassy post-war German plastic necklaces. In the late 1950s, early 1960s when this necklace was made, there was a popular color called Bourbon, the color of the darkest, largest beads, which measure 1 Inch apiece. The necklace adjusts at the shortest strand up to 17," and is signed WESTERN GERMANY on the J-hook. Matching clip back earrings are 1 3/8" in diameter and are signed on the clips. Gerry's Glass Tortoiseshell Cameo in Diamond Shaped Filigree. Its the little German head band girl again,but this time she's made of pressed or molded frosted glass applied to a base of smooth brown faux glass tortoiseshell with creamy tan colors around the face and hair. The scans made her face look funny, but she's all there, her nose and eye area is one of the darker reddish-brown colors and came out shadowed. She is lovely! No wonder Gerry's collectors especially prize the cameos with the diamond shaped settings; the quality is really quite high with good heft and sturdy feel. The cameo, in a remarkable chain bezel, is surrounded by whorls, loops, and beading and all that goes into ornate openwork. This brooch is 2" tall x 1 1/2", signed on the back GERRY'S(c). Gerry's 1960s Romantic Portrait Brooch In the 1960s, Gerry's made a number of Victorian Revival pieces, and this is one of them. The transfer on a resin material that is glassy on top, made to look like the old time painted porcelain portraits. The portrait depicts a 17th century man playing for a young woman who holds flowers and a flower basket. The background is a pale yellow glaze. Goldette 1960's Giant Swinging Pendant Necklace Here is a wickedly beautiful, boldly designed and highly collectible piece fit for an Amazon queen! The necklace features quality Singapore style chain leading to a 5" wide 5/8" thick curved gold tone centerpiece of textured with polished areas contrasting with matte recesses. Dangling are teardrop shaped black plastic cabochons set openback in textured bezels with golden dagger drops swinging below. These flank a beaded chain with the second thick curve shape, forming a kind of swing, tinkling more dazzling dangles. Swaying in the middle is a chunky single cab in a striated bezel; at 1 3/4" x 1 1/4 and rising a full inch from the surface, it is a respectable sized pendant all on it's own! Total pendant length is an Amazonian 7 1/2 inches! This primitively beautiful and dramatic necklace is signed Goldette(c) in script on a raised oval on the back the biggest cab's bezel. It's difficult to measure this necklace, but if laid out straight without regard to the dip in the center it clasps at about 16", but the curve at the collarbone ads an extra couple of inches. I tried it on my large neck, and it fits nicely with the top of the centerpiece straddling the collarbone. The J-hook clasp makes the necklace adjustable for shorter lengths. Enjoy this fine collector' piece in Excellent condition. $110. |
