These are high quality polished gold tone enameled pins, with the lady in a pink apron tending a bird bath and holding a watering can. She's featured on page 87 of Rhinestone Jewelry: Figurals, Animals and Whimsicals, by Marcia Brown. Her gentleman, in blue overalls tows a red wagon loaded with sunripe tomatoes. Adorable Danecraft Doe Deer and Fawns Pin

Costume jewels don't have to have rhinestones to be beautiful. This lovable pin shows a doe, in matte gold tone, with her two fawns in polished gold tone. They sit among pink enameled flowers. The pin is 2 1/4" long, signed script D(c) for Danecraft, and is in Excellent condition. This lovely pin would make a wonderful gift. Enjoy. $24

A lovely gold tone cattail in spring colors will be a great piece to add a touch of elegant levity to anything you wear. It's doubtful anyone else will have this remarkable jewel. The long flower portion of the 3 1/2" cattail is ringed with an assortment of tiny faux gemstones, among them faux pearls, coral, turquoise, red, green, blue and twinkling amethyst rhinestones. The 7/8" oval clip on earrings are probably not the true mates, but obviously from the same line, with the same jewels in an octagon mosaic arrangement. All pieces are in Excellent condition and signed D'Orlan. $68

Dodds, 11 W. 30 Street & Jewel Creations. Dodds, signed with the "S" backward. There is evidence that 11 W. 30 Street is another signature for Dodds. The company offered many beautiful revival style jewels as well as figural & holiday jewelry, and is highly collectible. Jewel Creations jewelry is made by the same company. Jewel Creations jewels are all unsigned, but many pieces are the same jewels seen signed Dodds and 11 W. 30 Street. Another way you can identify them is through catalogs they used to publish. Dodd's Rhinestone Modernist Brooch

For something colorful but also different, this Dodds' modernist style brooch may be what you are looking for. The primitive leaf shape is done in a light golden metal that looks hammered. An openwork network of rhinestones blink from their hand set cupped settings-- a fuchsia square, pink teardrop and chatons as well as olivine and amethyst rhinestones. First of all, this heavy, ornately designed bracelet will make you look like a Medieval princess, with its beautiful beaded antiqued gold tone setting with the large oval art glass gleaming peacock shades of blue, green and yellow openback in beaded bezels. This type of art glass is called scarabe with the accent over the second syllable, and has the iridescent look of aurora borealis finish. This delicious jewel can also be seen in old Jewel Creations catalogs, some of which are featured in Roseann Ettinger's Popular Jewelry of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as a 1960s design. A substantial jewel, the bracelet is 1 3/4" wide and clasps at 8" to fit medium and large wrists. Under magnification you can see peppering deep inside some of the art glass cabs although from the back the foil appears undamaged. Otherwise without finish wear or discoloration. Very Good condition. $58.

Clip earrings. Rarely does an Edlee signature come our way, but the designs are always original and gorgeous. The main attraction in these layered confections is the 1" wide frosted swirled art glass in charcoal gray that changes magically to cream color then back. The stone itself is adorned with an AB chaton and is surrounded by dogtooth set chatons and navettes in dark AB crystal, topaz, black diamonds and teal ABs. Plump beauties, these measure 1 1/4" wide x 1 5/8 tall and are in Very Good condition. Backs are signed EDLEE (c). $38

We have for you a high quality designer signed double strand black crystal necklace. The graduating jet crystals are very sparkly. The textured gold tone chunky 2" clasp offers tiered scallops each centered with tiny black rhinestones, possibly a stylized pine cone or other seed pod. The design is unusual with the shorter stand having larger crystals, up to 18mm. The second, longer strand is 28", five inches longer than the first. Total clasping length is 25". Added are a fabulous pair 2 1/8" jet glass crystal earrings with big drops dangling from marquise cuts. Fabulous Florenza Renaissance Revival Necklace

Invoking the excitement of the Renaissance with a mid-east flair, this powerful yet highly feminine necklace will add color and a dash of mystery to your look. The feathery antiqued Florentine goldtone base holds a central oval stone that looks just like a carnelian, surrounded by large bright citrine rhinestones, jade glass crescent moons and faux seed pearls The outer edges are accented by fiery topaz rhinestones. For lighthearted everyday wear, this Victorian revival pendant necklace will invoke flowery thoughts as you go about your day, and perhaps bring a smile of appreciation to those around you. The ashes-of-roses and yellow clowers will do wonderful things for your eyes. The oval cab in the center of the pendant has been treated to a transfer of open flowers, foliage, and flower buds, but also offers a few dabs of white enamel painted by hand, similar to the porcelains paint-on-transfer of old. It's delightful in it's beaded bezels and ornate openwork frame. The fancy bail leads to lacy chain that looks deceptively delicate, for it's sure to hold up that pendant even during a softball game--though I would tuck it in my shirt before attempting to slide home! The 25" chain clasps with a spring ring for a luxurious fit, with the pendant dropping an extra 3 1/8". The pendant without bail measures 2 1/4 tall x 1 3/4" wide. This wonderful '60s pendant make you look so sexy as it flows down between your cleavage with the little dangles shaking and swaying with you movement. The textured gold tone chain measures 25" long, but the 2" wide pendant adds and extra fantastic 5 inches in length! The lines are very slimming. The upper pendant offers an oval lapis glass cab while the lower pendant sports a black glass stone. Enjoy the amazingly rich golden color, and the applied beads and curlicues. Though not marked as such, all Florenza golden jewels are gold plated. This beautiful piece is singed twice Florenza(c) and is in Excellent condition. Wear day to evening for $85

I have no idea what kind of fish these are, but someone does.; And you should wear these earrings when you go on that cruise with him. The unusual jewels dangle deliciously from white glass beads and are 1 5/8" long (not counting the earwires) x 1 3/8" wide. The ear wires add an extra 3/4" in length from the earlobe. We tested the plump bumpy fish for gold content and found a 10K gold wash. In back, on a big round plaque, is the mark MADE IN FRANCE. Excellent condition. $28

FRANÇOIS is a seldom seen high end Coro mark. François is a line of jewelry that began in 1938 and continued until at least 1961, possibly later. Although collectors often think of Vendome as Coro's couturier line, François was one Coro's earliest couturier lines along with Coro Craft. François jewels were sold only in the jewelry cases of the finest stores. This information is from Coro Jewelry: a Collector's Guide by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown.

Findings

Here's a cute, light little necklace for autumn to add color and fun near your face on a happy day. The centerpiece offers a three stations of dangling red glass bicones and plastic faux tortoise lilies in two layers, with one layer festooning beneath the other in a delightful jumble about 1 1/4" deep.  A rosary style chain from each side offers more red glass bicones alternating with round tortoise glass beads, ending in an adjustable J-hook clasp, marked WESTERN GERMANY in block letters. The necklace fastens at a maximum of 16", with plenty of room to tighten and wear as a choker. Very Good+ condition, with all beads present.  $38

The fellas go crazy for the lady in red, but you've got triple sizzle in these wee works of art, with red, hot pink, faux pears and lavender champleve enamel in beaded petal motifs. All are set in complex golden beaded metalwork and filigree. Easy clip-on style, these dear jewels are 7/8 x 3/4" and marked W. Germany on the clips. Excellent. Enjoy for $20

West Germany Dark Blue Rhinestone Earrings

I've been holding onto these hoping to find the matching necklace, but it's clearly time to get these beauties clipped to a pretty pair of ears! The oval center stones are as blue as the late evening sky, or midnight on the ocean. The large stones sit in fancy coronet settings while the three smaller stone are bezel set, all in gold tone filigree. These will look fabulous for day or evening. Marked W. Germany on the lower part of the clips, these ear jewels are in Excellent condition. $24

Western Germany Rhinestone and Faux Pearl Filigree Brooch

This lovely brooch from West Germany will make a pretty display beneath the collar of that pretty button up shirt or dress. Or pin it over the closed top button, to add a touch of femininity to a plain light jacket. The medium topaz prong set rhinestones along side perched or nested faux pearls further decorate a display of ornate beaded gold tone filigrees and applied swirls filled with pale, pearly enamel. The top offers a coronet-set large faceted oval stone. Because this pin is done in light, airy layers, it is not particularly heavy. In almost perfect condition, the brooch is signed W. Germany beneath the pinstem. Excellent. $34

 HOLDHere we have the colors of sparkling ocean, lush jungle, and endless clear sky in this dream 1960s import from West Germany. These faceted semi-transparent boat-shaped beads are genuine tinted Lucite, and were made only in the 1960s along with big faceted ball beads of the same material and look. See Roseann Ettinger's book, Popular Jewelry of the '60, '70s, & '80s  for more examples of this type of jewelry. 

Our necklace offers one strand the unique Lucite beads in graduated sizes, the largest at 28mm. The necklace closes at  26" with a 24mm push-in hatbox clasp. Gerry's Bird & Nest with Faux Pearl Eggs!

Scarce & unusual gold tone pin shows a pale blue-grey--almost white-- enameled mother bird on a textured branch, guarding a next of faux pearl eggs. She has a dark pink rhinestone eye! This wonderful collectible pin is desirable for collectors--Gerrys made them in several colors. erfect for springtime and would make a wonderful gift year around. For fun and laughter, this Gerry's silvertone circus seal with go a long way. He's got smooth paddle feet, textured body and a green rhinestone eyes, and a glowing teal ball balancing on his pretty nose. SOLD This striking necklace offers color that will be appropriate for the holidays, but year around. You'll wear it again and again--the red beads do wonders for the complexion, as well as the beautiful gold tone rope chain. Notice how each loop in the chain is textured. The 14mm red acrylic beads are stationed on each side half way into the necklace, a very popular style in the 1970s. The necklace terminates in the standard--for the times--Givenchy signature findings, ending in a foldover clasp. The signatures read: GIVENCHY Paris New York and (c)1977. This stylish necklace is in Excellent condition, with no visible wear.

This Goldette goodie evokes an aura of sunshine and all seeing eyes in ancient days of mystery and romance. A lovely stacked half circle full of flowerets and encasing a topaz rhinestone within a beaded setting is only the beginning. A row of dancing delights jingles below, swinging golden baubles offering collet set crystals of the most amazing color--against white the crystal looks rosy golden-tan, but while dancing in the light the same crystals sometimes look lavender. The 3" pendant has 9" of chain attached on either side to fasten with a spring ring clasp. This is a well known Goldette piece that comes marked on the golden tag hanging from one of the dangles.
