Adorable Danecraft Doe Deer and Fawns Pin

Costume jewels don't have to have rhinestones to be beautiful. This lovable pin shows a doe, in matte gold tone, with her two fawns in polished gold tone. They sit among pink enameled flowers. The pin is 2 1/4" long, signed script D(c) for Danecraft, and is in Excellent condition. This lovely pin would make a wonderful gift. Enjoy. $24

You love quality, but want you jewels to compliment YOU. Welcome to this Demi Parure of understated elegance in this design by Christian Dior. A wide gold plated herringbone chain leads to to an red and white rhinestones shaped into a "sweetheart dip,"  décolletage without meaning to.  This rich necklace set features invisibly set ruby red rhinestones and sparkling crystal chatons. The matching clip-on earrings are the half-hoop huggie style. This lovely evening neck collar and earring ensemble features a gold plated setting and appears in mint condition. The necklace measures approx. 16" and ear-clips 7/8". Hallmarked: Fold-over locking clasp as well as CD Logo tag, Chr. Dior(c). The earrings are not signed, but obviously part of the set. Wear evenings all the holiday season. Excellent condition. $125

Dodds,  11 W. 30 Street & Jewel Creations. Dodds, signed with the "S" backward. There is evidence that 11 W. 30 Street is another signature for  Dodds. The company offered many beautiful revival style jewels as well as figural & holiday jewelry, and is highly collectible. Jewel Creations jewelry is made by the same company. Jewel Creations jewels are all unsigned, but many pieces are the same jewels seen signed Dodds and 11 W. 30 Street. Another way you can identify them is through catalogs they used to publish. First of all, this heavy, ornately designed bracelet will make you look like a Medieval princess, with its beautiful beaded antiqued gold tone setting with the large oval art glass gleaming peacock shades of blue, green and yellow openback in beaded bezels. This type of art glass is called scarabe with the accent over the second syllable, and has the iridescent look of aurora borealis finish. This delicious jewel can also be seen in old Jewel Creations catalogs, some of which are featured in Roseann Ettinger's Popular Jewelry of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as a 1960s design. A substantial jewel, the bracelet is 1 3/4" wide and clasps at 8" to fit medium and large wrists. Under  magnification you can see peppering deep inside some of the art glass cabs although from the back the foil appears undamaged.  Otherwise without finish wear or discoloration. Very Good condition. $65.

DuBarry back in the 1960s Jean Shrimpton  modeled for this 5th Avenue design house.  Most of their jewels came  unsigned on cards or with hang tags.

Delicious DuBarry Flower Power Demi Still on Card

There is no signature on any of these fantastic swinging sixties Mod jewels, but I can guarantee they are Dubarry because I've seen them before on the same cards, and also, this set is a book piece, which you can see on the top left of page 80 of Popular Jewelry of the '60s, 70s & '80s by Roseann Ettinger.   The brass pin and earrings are enameled tomato red and yellow, with the brooch having green leaves. all enamel is intact. Brooch is 2 7/8" tall, matching clip on earrings are 1". Enjoy this classic set in near-pristine condition. $48

Set in gold tone, the color of the delicately molded plastic cab mums will enhance most complexions, and the set is light and easy to wear. As for collectibility, the earrings come in the original box in Excellent condition. The bracelet is also Excellent.  condition, as are the earrings, which come in the original box. Bracelet clasps at 7" for a medium wrist, and the clip back earrings are 7/8" in diameter. $45

The gold tone openwork setting offers beading, leaves, and a second layer with an applied pointed & curved motif that holds high the center faux pearl, it a little beaded cup, like the rest of the faux pearls. This wonderful  '60s pendant make you look so sexy as it flows down between  your cleavage with the little dangles shaking and swaying with you movement. The textured gold tone chain measures 25" long, but the 2" wide pendant adds and extra fantastic 5 inches in length! The lines are very slimming. The upper pendant offers an oval  lapis glass cab while the lower pendant sports a black glass stone. Enjoy the amazingly rich golden color, and the applied beads and curlicues. Though not marked as such, all Florenza golden jewels are gold plated. This beautiful piece is singed twice Florenza(c) and is in Excellent condition.  Wear day to evening for $85

Darling Beaded Celluloid Necklace Set Hand Made in France 

Circa 1940s-early 1950s, hand made in post war France. This necklace set will add a highly feminine touch to spring and summer outfits; imagine the fresh look you can create by wearing this set with fresh cotton or silk pastels. The celluloid disks imitate mother of pearl; their finish takes on subtle rainbow colors. Overlaying the disks in the central part of the necklace are bunches if faux seed pearl grapes upon delicately cut and textured celluloid leaves. Also, wrapped together under each set of leaves are bunches of a natural straw. All the disks and beads in the necklace are sewn onto strands of cream color silk cord, quite clean after so many years. This delightful necklace clasps at 15 1/2" with a brass sliding clasp decorated by a 1" wired-on flower. The matching clip on earrings are wired together onto  brass clip findings and marked, beneath the clips, MADE IN FRANCE. At a striking first glance the set looks to be in excellent condition; however, while processing the scans I noticed, first, that a leaf seems to be missing on one of the earrings and also on the necklace, hardly noticeable but the set is priced accordingly.  $68

I have no idea what kind of fish these are, but someone does.; And you should wear these earrings when you go on that cruise with him. The unusual jewels dangle deliciously from  white glass beads and are 1 5/8" long (not counting the earwires) x 1 3/8" wide. The ear wires add an extra 3/4" in length from the earlobe. We tested the plump bumpy fish for gold content and found a 10K gold wash. In back, on a big round plaque, is the mark MADE IN FRANCE. Excellent condition. $28

FRANÇOIS   is a seldom seen high end Coro mark. François  is a  line of  jewelry that began in 1938 and continued until at least 1961, possibly later. Although collectors often think of Vendome as Coro's couturier line, François was one Coro's earliest couturier lines along with Coro Craft. François jewels were sold only in the jewelry cases of the finest stores. This information is from Coro Jewelry: a Collector's Guide by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown. 

I just noticed a misplaced navette near the center, but this will be re-set.

Here's a delightful find from Francois, full of purple corner-set navettes and teardrops alongside brilliant Aurora Borealis Rhinestones set in half-prongs among the curls of a light gold tone textured ribbon. The ABs really play off the purple stones and other colors in the environment, evoking liveliness and fun along with the queenly power of purple. Notice this jewel is asymmetrical and the ribbon stylized, offering a hint of modernist. The smooth finish in back is also light gold tone. The brooch is a bit over 2 1/4" wide x 1 7/8" tall. Signed (c)Francois in script, this hard to find jewel is in Excellent condition. $42

Rosenthal Germany Painted Porcelain Floral Brooch

SOLDCirca 1920. Just what you need to gather those faux pearls--this hand-paint-on- transfer porcelain brooch from Bavaria. Bright colorful flowers are transferred and have hand painted accents and hand painted turquoise decorated edges. The cream background also has a web of thin yellow lines painted on to look like cracked enamel. A unique piece in Very Good condition, it fastens with a silver metal safety-pin type back. Marked in green with the Rosenthal and Crown mark, also Marktredwitz Germania. Measures 1 7/8" in diameter.

Scarce & unusual gold tone pin shows an orange enameled mother bird on a textured branch, guarding a next of faux pearl eggs. She has a green rhinestone eye! This wonderful collectible pin is perfect for springtime and would make a wonderful gift year around. A must have if you start a collection of birds with eggs--you might be surprised at how many can be found. The back of the branch is signed GERRYS(c). Dimension are 2" wide x 1 1/8" long. Very Good condition. $28

Signature Clasp

This striking necklace offers color that will be appropriate for the holidays, but year around. You'll wear it again and again--the red beads do wonders for the complexion, as well as the beautiful gold tone rope chain. Notice how each loop in the chain is textured. The 14mm red acrylic beads are stationed on each side half way into the necklace, a very popular style in the 1970s. The necklace terminates in the standard--for the times--Givenchy signature findings, ending in a foldover clasp. The signatures read: GIVENCHY Paris New York and (c)1977.
