Hobe Purple Cones & Blue Givre Glass Bead Necklace Set
with Rhinestone Rondells

Circa 1950. You will stand out as the special woman you are when you wear this Hobe beaded beauty. The double strand necklace just sparkles with purple molded glass cone beads, blue faceted givre glass beads with hearts of purple inside, gray faux pearls and the most wonderful, rare purple rhinestone rondells--irreplaceable! And they are all there, bright & sparkling. The unique gold plated necklace findings, chain and lavishly beaded end piece have the same design found on another Hobe 2-strand necklaces from the same period. The necklace is signed Hobe (without copyright mark) on the openwork findings on both sides, and it clasps with adjustable J-hook at a maximum of 17 3/4." The matching clip back earrings are 1 1/4" and are also signed on the clips. Everything is in Excellent condition. $95

Harry Iskin is known for his elegant 1930s & 1940s Retro Modern Designs. Some of the jewelry is better than the markings. For instance, during the war Iskin created sterling vermeil jewelry, but not all of it is marked sterling. Also, often the gold fill is higher quality than stated. When you buy Harry Iskin jewelry that is marked only 1/20 10K GF, take it to your jeweler and have it tested! Never consider jewelry like this an expense, but an investment. More Coming Soon!

Harry Iskin Classic Retro Bracelet, Brooch & Earrings Parure!

SOLD
Maybe my favorite Harry Iskin set for it's smart retro fan designs, laden with ruby glass stones. These are unfoiled, which is why they will never go dark! In his retro jewels, Iskin's rhinestones are almost always unfoiled. The richness of the color indicate high quality. The gold wash, yellow gold and rose gold, is intact and just lovely! This set may be from the late 1930's or early 1940s; I would have guessed post WWII if not for the thumbless spring ring on the bracelet. The bracelet clasps with at 7 3/8" and is 5/8" wide. The matching screw-on earrings are 1" x 5/8". The brooch, also with both rose and yellow gold wash, is 2 1/8" x 2". Bracelet & brooch are both marked on raised circle H.I. 1/20 12K GF. The screw-on earrings are unsigned. Everything is in Excellent condition.

Hollycraft ~ Founded in NYC in the late 1930s and continuing throughout the 1960s, Hollycraft jewelry is not only beautiful, but a great investment. MORE COMING SOON...

Sensuous Hollycraft 1956 Necklace with Peacock and AB Crystal Rhinestones

Imagine how this necklace will settle at the dip in your collarbone and fan its twinkling rhinestones--followed by his kiss? The unfoiled oval center stone in the pendant , set open back in a double pronged setting, has a unique aurora borealis finish that is almost opaque. Each facet of the stone flashes a new color when you move, mainly blue and purple, but also colors from the environment will mix in--pink, copper, gold! Swinging below is an articulated fan shape set with true peacock colored ovals and navettes twinkling purple, blue and green, accented by more subtle crystal AB baguettes and chatons. The double S chain is decked with pairs of bright clear crystal chatons. Set in silvertone, this exquisite jewel is marked HOLLYCRAFT COPR.1956. The necklace clasps with an adjustable J hook at a maximum of 17." The main part of the pendant drops 1 7/8" and is 1 1/2" wide at the widest part of the fan portion. Excellent condition. $135

Hong Kong ~ There were many pieces of jewelry imported by Hong Kong before WWII, through the late 1940s and early 1950s, then again after the Korean war. Some of the jewelry is very nice, of at least the same quality as the Japanese and German imports. From Hong Kong, one can find many very pretty multi-strand necklaces of glass, faux pearls & art beads, some with fancy clasps, fruit & flower necklaces & bracelet sets. Whenever I find one of these nicer pieces or sets in top condition, they will be listed here.  MORE COMING SOON

Hong Kong Green Springtime Happiness Flowers
SOLD
The petals of these pretty floral clip-ons are molded plastic in gold tone collet settings, very similar to jewelry done by Coro in the late 40s and early 50s. The color is  between spring green and mint, a little on the mint side; the images have more yellow than the actual color. These have survived over 50 years looking lovely.  An inch in diameter, and thick with two layers of petals, these are marked on the clips HONG KONG and are in Very Good condition.

India ~ East Indian jewelry is beautiful and highly collectible. If you want true Boho, not the fake Boho out in stores today, get vintage India jewelry.

Pink & Green India Boho Mosaic Bangles

These beautiful bangles are genuine 1960's boho hippie jewelry. I've never been sure exactly what they are made from but the are usually heavy for their size and cold to the touch. They are hand made, perhaps starting with a  wooden bangle covered with ceramic on the outside, then they are painted inside and out. The little mirror pieces, donut beads, and squiggles and other little jewels must be embedded painstakingly before the clay or ceramic dries because I don't see how they could survive a kiln. These are in top condition, with only one missing donut on the green bangle. All the rest of the beading on both pieces is intact. Small paint chips can be seen only on the insides. The green bangle is 5/8" wide; the pink is 1/2". Both are 2 5/8" to 2 3/4" on the inside and will fit over medium to medium large sized hands.  these will fit over medium to medium large sized hands. Saturated colors  and rimmed in a golden color, they are brilliant & lovely. Neither of these are marked India, but usually they came with peel-off tag inside; these are genuine East Indian boho from the 1960's. Very Good condition. $38

JJ Jonette Jewelry Company produced jewelry from 1934 until 2006. The company began as Providence Jewelry Company, then Lisker & Lisker. After WWII, the name was changed to Jonette Jewelry Company with the marking JJ, in a variety of texts. Their figural and novelty pins are highly collectible, and their vintage lines are becoming more sought after since the company closed. Their figurals from the 1970's and 1980's are among the best; the big pewter brooches are so thick and sturdy you can literally use them as weapons!  Some are gold plated and even sterling silver (I don't think they ever marked it--you have to test!) They also had some interesting modernist designs which are now very hard to find, as are the 60's - 80's pendants and necklace sets.

HUGE JJ Pewter Panther Brooch

Add some jungle drama to your look with this fabulous  panther in polished pewter. The detail is wondrous indeed, showing ribs, muscles, teeth, claws, and that whip of a tail! Let him crawl lovingly across your jacket lapel, heavy blouse, sweatshirt or sweater. Hmmm, seems a little naughty, doesn't it? Dimensions are 4 1/2" long x 2" wide if you wear this brooch vertically as in photos, but you can also wear it horizontally. Marked JJ (c) 1984. Very Good condition.  $36

Vintage Signed JJ Math Blackboard Brooch

I have no idea what the figures etched on the polished pewter 'blackboard' mean, but you can bet someone does, and that's the gal (or guy, to use as a tie clasp) who will appreciate this clever design. Another fabulous JJ pin with terrific detail! Five charms dangle merrily from bottom, from book and calculator to an apple for the teacher. The dangling ruler is actually useful; it measures exactly 1" long! Total measurements including the dangles are 1 3/4" wide x 2 3/8' tall. The pin, as well as all five charms, are signed (c)JJ. Excellent condition. $28

Also, no foil damage on the big green cabochonThe big (almost 7/8") dome shaped dark emerald green cabochon sits in it's crenellated bezel in absolutely perfect condition. The gold tone metal is also  unworn.  Measuring 2 1/8" on all sides, this lovely brooch, signed JJ(c)1986, is in Excellent condition. $35
