D&E, Juliana & Juliana Style Jewelry~ Juliana jewelry was originally made by DeLizza & Elster, who created rhinestone jewelry that was never signed but was marketed with paper hang tags, which, of course, are removed before wear. Because of that, it's not accurate to proclaim true DeLizza and Elster without clear knowledge of the characteristics of the jewelry (and there are plenty of exceptions to the rules,) and/or confirmation from Frank DeLizza. Some of the jewelry in this category has been confirmed by Mr. DeLizza. We
carry other colorful rhinestone jewelry in this category which is
clearly described as "not Juliana" because Mr. DeLizza
confirmed it as NOT D&E, and other jewelry will be described as
"Juliana style" which means, it looks like it could be, but I
haven't had the piece verified yet. Good news! There's a new

De Lizza & Elster Juliana Blue Crystal Brooch Set This snazzy vintage set has been verified by Frank DeLizza. It features a brooch shaped like a pair of wings with two layers of long, slender navettes--the top layer is gorgeous sapphire blue laying across a base of fabulous crystals. All the stones except the cluster of brilliant chatons in the middle is prong set open back in a gold tone finding. The 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" Brooch is thick, sitting about 5/8" from it's base, and it is heavy for its size. The matching clip back earrings are 1 7/8" x 1 1/8". Everything is in excellent, clean condition. $68

Sapphire Blue Kite Stone Choker Necklace This is not a Juliana necklace, but it sure looks like one with it's sparkling concoction of sky blue chatons, clear cornflower blue kite stones and larger, midnight sapphire kite stones all prong set into this lovely rhodium plated jewel. This is YOUR necklace, one that you can wear to any formal occasion and the one to make him dream of you at night. The colors will bring out your eyes and brighten your smile. Don't let it get away. Length is 15 1/4" maximum with J hook and brilliant rhinestone teardrop endstone. The centerpiece is 3 3/8" wide and drops a full 1 1/2" at the middle. Everything is in Excellent condition. $110 |

Diamond to Clear Rhinestone Gradient Brooch
Not Juliana, but beautiful in it's own darkness-to light way. The graduation in color of the navettes--from dark gray "black diamonds," to medium gray to almost clear, invokes movement and activity. And think about what it will do for your hair and eyes! There are three rows of sparkling navettes--at least four at the bottom have backs enclosed in the dog tooth silvertone settings, but all the others are set deliciously openback. What refreshing brooch for a cloud strewn day or the first rain of spring. This layered pin is almost 3" long x 1" wide. Excellent condition. $48

Kenneth Lane KJL Asian Balinese Dancers Pagoda Necklace Out there is the collector (you?) who has been waiting for just this necklace. Kenneth Lane makes great jewelry, but also, I love pendants like this because of their exotic character and slimming vertical lines. This particular necklace is a 1980's QVC piece. Two gold tone & bejeweled Balinese dancers, a man and a woman, cavort as dangles hanging from the central pendant, a gold tone pagoda delightfully shaped and textured. The faces of the dancers are clear crystal rhinestones, and their clothing is studded with multicolor stones. From the 25" necklace chain, the total pendant drop, including bail, is 6 1/2" and can be detached from the necklace to be worn as a brooch. Signed (c)KJL in two places, on the oval hang tag and on the back of the Pagoda, the necklace is in Excellent condition. $68 |

Topaz Rhinestone Necklace & Earrings Demi
Circa 1950. This unusual set features a great design that harkens back to art deco step patterns. But in this jewelry set we see an escalator pattern--one articulated step of light topaz baguette rhinestones, chased with citrine chatons, lies at a slant and moves easily into and out another step to better fit your neck and your movements. You'll feel like Cinderella Cinderella riding a golden escalator to her prince! As usual, the rhinestones are high in quality, and, decades later, still making a sassy display for a lady's admirers--yours perhaps? All stones are prong set into a golden setting. The necklace clasps with J hook and chain at a maximum of 15" though the 5/8" wide centerpiece dips to allow for an additional 1/2". The matching clip back earrings are 1" long. Condition is Very Good with a faultless finish and glittering stones, though on close inspection some of the small chatons are beginning to show their age, but nothing noticeable enough to replace. All pieces are signed KRAMER or Kramer of New York with no copyright mark, indicating pre-1955. Enjoy this golden topaz beauty all summer and fall! $125

Dramatic Kramer Cleopatra Fringe Necklace Circa 1962. Like the Egyptian beauty, you know when you've found YOUR necklace. Its here today, in 3 strands--two are quality textured gold tone chains with a bottom fringe strand of fashionable striped blue green semi transparent (seamless) Lucite beads (the are very hard to tell from glass) with part of the insides painted gold, so that it half the bead looks sort of brown. Bead stations alternate with gold tone riveted twist metal drops to lay fanlike across your collarbone, enhancing not only the sensual look on your face, but also your bustline. Wear this all the time white or cream wool, linen, or a dark red dress. In fact, in this marvelously versatile set, you can be knockout in almost any color. This necklace is a high quality and substantial piece as well as a work of art, with darling details like the textures of the golden trim on the beaded terminals. Necklace clasps with a J-hook at a maximum of 16" and is 1 3/4" wide at the center including the chains pushed together. Matching clip on earrings are 1 1/2" tall, signed KRAMER(c) on the clips. Necklace is signed on J-hook and also trails the K Kramer logo. Condition is Excellent. Wear it to intrigues with your Marc Antony all year round! $148

Unsigned Kramer Summer White, Gold & Rhinestones Medallion Bracelet Set This lovely set offers molded glass medallions with recessed floral designs filled with golden enamel and studded with faux diamond rhinestones. Each medallion is prong set in a an openwork coronet setting, and further reinforced by another layer, a silvertone scalloped setting in faux prongs. Each alternating double beaded set is flanked by tiny silvertone flowers--it's hard to see in the picture how intricately this set is made. This is a thick, substantial jewel, heavy for it's size. Bracelet clasps at 7" with a good fold over clasp and measures a bit over 1" wide. The matching earrings are clip on. Although this set is unsigned, I've attributed to Kramer due to a nearly identical set shown in Ann Pitman's Inside the Jewelry Box, page 135. Plus, the identical white faceted glass cabs are used by Kramer in another set shown on the bottom of page 134 page of the same book. Near excellent, with minor wear on back plating that cannot be seen without magnification. $62 |

3 Strand Faux Pearls and Crystal Necklace
You are bound to wear faux pearls to convey your natural elegance and taste, but shouldn't they be dressed up just a bit for that special occasion? Go no further, for this chunky vintage necklace from the 1950s will add stylish vintage beauty to your wardrobe that can go with so many outfits you'd be amazed. This necklace is light in weight, highly suitable for summer. The largest blimp shaped pearls and aurora borealis glass crystals are 3/4" long, and alternate with smaller crystals and round faux pearls. The beads lead to silvertone ornate fleur terminals and J hook clasp, marked Laguna. The shortest strand adjusts from choker choker size to a maxium princess length of 16 1/8". The only wear seems to be on the J-hook itself, and is minor. I could find no nicks in the pearls or wear on the AB crystals. $48

Incredible Laguna 5-strand AB Crystal Necklace & Earrings Set What a find--necklaces like this one are seldom parted with, so essential are they to making a big aurora borealis splash of flash! Five strands of round faceted glass crystals in graduated sizes are spaced between short bicones. Brilliant rhinestones decorate the end pieces, and clip back earrings add to the dazzle. The largest beads on the necklace are about 15mm, and the necklace is quite heavy. But oh, the crystals are so cool to the touch! Clasping at 16 1/2" maximum, you can adjust to a shorter size using the J-hook and rosary style beaded chain. Clip on earrings are 7/8". All pieces are signed Laguna. There's moderate wear on the J-hook, but other than that everything is Excellent. $110 |

Rel Crystal Rhinestone Jet Stream Clip Earrings
There's a necklace to match these somewhere, and it might be yours! Snappy crisp and lovely in themselves these earrings take off in a nosedive leaving streamers behind. Circa 1950 when styles still reflected the end of the WWII. Measuring 1 1/4" tall, each earring is signed La Rel in script on the clip backs. The crystals, prong set in rhodium plating, are brilliant, guaranteed to make the sassiest sparkles around your face. Excellent. $22

Hand Painted on Transfer Porcelain Marriage Proposal Brooch. These kinds of pins are late 1940s French imports of porcelain creations helped them rebuild after WWII. I just couldn't resist this colorful delight! Can you? The scene shows a marriage proposal under a blue sky full of cloudy whisps. There are dabs of pearly white for flowers at their feet and as decorations at his throat and the maiden's gown, hand painted over a transfer. The setting and open trombone clasp are European, the kind I've seen on other Limoges pins. The golden rope-twist frame supports the brass bezel which secures the porcelain very snugly. Brooch measures 1 7/8" in diameter and is signed in back in red ink Limoges made in France. Condition of the porcelain is Excellent with no paint loss or fading. The brass setting is very good, with the usual dings and scratches that only add to the vintage value. $60

Little Nemo Rhinestone Bow Pin Circa 1925. This sweet old art deco bow is the only L/N signed piece I've ever found with an open C-clasp. It's an early example of the work of Brier Manufacturing and built the old fashioned way, which you will see in the reverse image, where little bumps mirror placement of the rhinestones on the other side. The gold tone gauzy openwork is just lovely, with beaded intertwining tendrils. The white crystal pastes still bedazzle and shine; they are not all perfect, but none are noticeably darkened and the brooch still blinks with it's little fires. The bow is 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Almost all the golden finish is still present. I've seen this bow one other time with multicolor rhinestones. Condition is overall Very Good. $48 |

L.S. Co. Carved Shell Cameo Art Deco Sunburst Setting. From the 1930's, this unique cameo from L.S. Co.is sure to be adored by the lady in your life. What makes her unique is that she is left-facing, while most ladies carved in cameo face to the right; also unusual is the sunburst setting. The small ivory and carnelian colored cameo is carved shell, a slender lady with wavy hair, in a twisted gold filled bezel. Set in a gold filled art deco sunburst setting, this jewel is sure to make a sunburst in her heart! Marked in diamond shaped cartouche L.S.Co. 1/20 12K GF. The pin is 1 5/8" in diameter. Excellent condition. $45. |

L.S. Co. 1940s Retro Sterling Vermeil Brooch These L.S. big brooches are getting very scarce; I haven't been able to find one in awhile now. This wonderful retro modern floral brooch is fashioned most gracefully in thick sterling with gold-filled plating with the leaves pointing every which way as if swayed and bandied in a tropical storm, making the brooch an exciting study in artistic movement. Little scalloped cups contain prong set faux pearls. The large flower has a ring of prong set unfoiled prong set clear stones with an unfoiled green stone in the center. Dimensions are 3 1/2" tall x 2 5/8" wide. Under magnification, the green stone has a tiny chip just beneath a prong. Very little of the vermeil is worn away. Condition is rated Very Good and priced accordingly. Marked in back in a diamond shaped plate, L.S. CO, 1/20- 12K G.F., ON STERLING. A beautiful, substantial and elegant jewel! $68 |
