D&E, Juliana & Juliana Style Jewelry~ Juliana jewelry was originally made by DeLizza & Elster, who created rhinestone jewelry that was never signed but was marketed with paper hang tags, which, of course, are removed before wear. Because of that, it's not accurate to proclaim true DeLizza and Elster without clear knowledge of the characteristics of the jewelry (and there are plenty of exceptions to the rules,) and/or confirmation from Frank DeLizza. Some of the jewelry in this category has been confirmed by Mr. DeLizza.

We carry other colorful rhinestone jewelry in this category which is clearly described as "not Juliana" because Mr. DeLizza confirmed it as NOT D&E, and other jewelry will be described as "Juliana style" which means, it looks like it could be, but I haven't had the piece verified yet. A possible Juliana, this brooch is now in the verification albums to be verified by Frank DeLizza, but whether it's D&E or not, it's a beautiful jewel of Autumn. A central vein of prong set amber chatons bursts with prong set teardrops with points outward, giving a delightful spiky appearance. Set in smooth silvertone, this sparkling beauty measures 2 1/2" x 2" and is in Excellent condition.  $48

This wonderful, unusual designer brooch could Juliana, and is now in the confirmation files at the Juliana site awaiting confirmation by Frank Delizza. But whether or not D&E, this jewels is heavy for it's size and offers a scintillating rare beauty, made up of layered round collet prong set openback unfoiled rhinestones in all sizes and a rainbow of pastels. The pink, pale amethyst, clear blue are convex set in flowerets, to sparkle off each other. Topped by flowerets of deep cream enamel, this brooch is a winner! Reinforced in back with a sturdy ring, the brooch is 2 1/2" x 2 1/4".  Excellent condition, with perfect rhinestones, gold finish and unmarred enamel. The base layer has those long, sexy deep ruby red marquise cuts arranged in gold tone prong settings with red chatons and two charming little ruffs of sparkling crystals. Hovering above is the square frame of yet more crystal rhinestones, which are wired to the piece. This classy design will look breathtaking pinned to a gem colored ball gown evening dress, or to as closure to a velvet handbag! Shivering Ice Blue Stacked Rhinestone Brooch

Not Juliana, but it sure wants to be! This glorious brooch is stacked like an icy mountain with all ice blue prong set chatons and navettes; the table of the top dogtooth-set stone rises a full inch from the pinstem. Layers of chatons arranged into flowerets spill from the next tiers, playing off light, followed by stones in a kind of whirl arrangement. Set in silvertone, this 2 3/8" keeper will add sparkle to any look without washing out your complexion or eye color. Excellent condition. $48

With golden leaves overlay. This brooch is not D&E, but I've also seen Weiss jewels with these exact leaves. Big black prong set teardrops and navettes, partially hidden by the golden textured leaves, are accented by Aurora Borealis AB chatons. The 2 3/8” x 1 7/8” jewel looks larger because it rises in a dome shape about 3/4" from the pinstem. In fact, there's enough room to easily use this beauty as a necklace enhancer, adding pizzazz to that string of beads. Here's something traditional to wear almost anywhere from day to evening, year around. The delightful curves and the dark yet bright glint of smoke rhinestones, or, "black diamonds", a great look Weiss made popular in the 1950s. Try textured loops of rhodium plated metal enc lose two rows of dusky jewels set in half prongs. Measuring 2 3/4" long, this brilliant jewel is marked KRAMER(c) in back and is in Excellent condition. This marvelous demi is much beloved among collectors, but has become quite hard to find. The thermoset molded pink tulips are hard and heavy enough that they are often mistaken for poured glass. Set in an undulating silvertone vine finding, each tulip is accented by sparkling crystal chatons and finish off with pink beaded chains and J-hook clasp. The matching clip on earrings are large at 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", a stylish size during that period in the 1950.s when this set was made. The necklace clasps at 16" with an an adjustable J hook, with plenty of room for tightening to choker size if desired. Condition is Excellent. Enjoy for $78

Kramer Coral Draped Leaves Brooch

Circa 1960, one of Kramer's lighter pieces. This brooch will really bring out the vibrant glow of your complexion, and you can expect nothing less from Kramer. Simple in design, it's the color and lushness that can add the best accents for you in that great spring outfit. A deluge of coral colored navette thermoset cabs are set openback in V-cups among tiny golden florets in a sparkling light goldtone setting. These earrings really seem alive, with their colors flashing like the peacock's feathers. The white areas on the scans are a case of severe scanner shock due to the blazing sparkles! But these coronet set chatons, like most other well-cared-for AB stones, offer changeable colors, depending on who is looking and which way--from light green to metallic gold to sapphire blue! Shaped like a curling comma, these 1 3/8" tall x 5/8" jewels have smooth golden settings and are in Excellent condition. Signed KRAMER on the clips. $28

Limoges Hand Painted Porcelain Roses Floral Brooch

It would be hard to find anotherLimoges brooch like this one, which is all enamel and hand painted, with no transfer. I have looked very closely, and even the green leaves have raised paints. The flower portrait, with a background of pink glazes and red scalloped border, appears to be a wild rose surrounded by multicolored daisies and forget-me-nots and raised white dots on all. The porcelain oval is bezel set into the standard 1940s brass twisted rope frame and fastened with a trombone clasp. The brooch is 2 1/4" tall x 1 3/4" wide. Very Good+ condition.Marked in red letters on the back, Made in France, Limoges. $68

Brooch measures 2 1/4" in tall x 13/4" wide and is signed in back in green ink Limoges France. Condition of the porcelain is Excellent with no paint loss or fading. The brass setting is very good, with a bit of light tarnish spots that only add to the vintage value. $78
