Coro Vintage Rhinestone Brooch Spider Mum

Vintage Coro Rhinestone Chrysanthemum Brooch

For you today is a Coro popular classic book piece brooch, circa 1960, featured on page 126 of Fifty Years of Collectible Fashion Jewelry 1925-1975 by Lillian Baker. Three riveted layers include a gathering of stamens surrounded by a circle of silver plated pave rhinestone petals, which still wink and sparkle. The largest layer is a wild array of brushed gold tone petals. This is a big beauty at 2 1/2" in diameter and standing 3/4" from the pin stem. Signed in the back (c)CORO. Excellent condition, with bright rhinestones and intact finish. Wear this classy piece anywhere. $45

Coro Aqua Rhinestone Earrings

Coro Aqua Rhinestone Retro Ribbon Curl Earrings

Screw-on earrings. These big beauties are made in layers so they rise nearly an inch from the screw base set for an average ear. They are 1 1/4", and feature a retro swoop like circle with a pierced curling ribbon set with sparkling aqua rhinestones. The gold plating is intact and shining.  Someone took good care of these little treasures from the late 1940s to early 1950s. Signed Coro without copyright mark, these jewels are in excellent, clean, sparkling condition. And knowing Coro, there is a necklace and bracelet out there somewhere looking for their mates! $26.

Coro Order of the Royal Garter Star Brooch

Coro Amazing Sunburst Star Brooch with Black Cameo

This striking brooch offers a black vintage plastic cameo--the little German headband girl, in a striking mid-century sunburst setting. The large, heavy,  setting is done with individual "bursts"--beaded strips of raised polished goldtone knobs. The gilded and antiqued cast metalwork is stunning. Sun/starbursts were popular motifs during the atomic era, but this brooch doesn't seem to fit with those styles--it appears to be more a late 1930s-early 1940s creation. In fact, except for the cameo, it looks exactly like a symbol for the Order of the Royal Garter! Measuring
2 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide, this incredible jewel is also chunky, rising in a dome shape about 3/4" from the pinstem. This black beauty is bound to be noticed. Signed in back in script with no copyright mark, Coro. Very Good condition. Unusual and rare! $65

Coro Plump Floral Brooch with Peacock AB Rhinestones!

Circa 1960, we have a beautifully designed floral brooch in silvertone, with textured openwork leaves that curl and point this way & that around an openwork flower head loaded with aurora borealis rhinestones in peacock, with flash blue & green, purple & gold. Pleasingly plump at 2 7/8" tall x 2" wide and rising about 7/8" from the pinstem. Very showy for year 'round sparkling color. Signed in back Coro(c). Enjoy for $35

Coro Blue Navette Enamel Floral Spray Big Coat Brooch

Beautifully vintage, this sweeping  spray was probably done in the early 1940s prior to WWII. If you look at the Coro patent styles of this era you will notice they used enamels on their big brooches in the early 1940s, but it could have been made as late as the early  1950s. This is a well preserved, gorgeous brooch. The gold plating has wear only on the tops of the prongs setting the blue navettes, though the foil on the back of the navettes is intact. The green enamels are intact. Someone probably kept this pretty in her jewel box to wear on special occasions. Large at 3 1/2" tall by 2" wide, this treasure is in Very Good+ condition and could be yours--or hers--this season! $58

Rare pony brooch

Adorable, Lively Vintage Pony Brooch

Rare. Attributed to Coro; at the pony's front hooves is an arrangement of green enameled leaves, the enameled rhinestone centered flower in the pony's mouth is seen in other Coro jewels, including horse jewels (Victor) along with recognizable construction and design.

At 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" at the widest, he's a big boy from the early 1950s, around the time Coro was making their pretty horses. He's high quality with good heft, made from thick cast metal finished with golden plating. The near-Excellent condition is remarkable--I could not find any wear in the plating on the front, and on the back, only a bit along the edges. Rhinestones are bright and faux pearls are faultless. You (and I) may never find another like him. $95

Vintage Coro Pierced Bow Brooch

Beautiful Vintage Pegasus Coro Cut-Out Bow

These gorgeous old pierced metal, or cut-out jewels are getting harder to find, especially in condition as nice is this beauty. The pierced decorations and prong set ruby-red faceted glass give the brooch a sassy look. The golden finish is shining and bright, and intact except for some scratches on the back. The ruby red stone is bright with deep color, Signed in back on the inside of a bow loupe is Coro in script with the Pegasus mark but no copyright mark. Excellent condition. $35

Two Coro faux pearl butterfly brooch pins

Two Beautiful Coro Golden Faux Pearl Butterflies

Though the scans of these butterfly brooches by Coro turned out with wavy streaks, the gold plating is in absolutely Excellent condition, as well as the prong-set off-white faux pearls. Each butterfly pin is 2" tall x 1 5/8" wide. Signed Coro in slanted script (no copyright mark) on the reverse, these jewels are in Excellent condition. A twin pair of Coro Butterfly brooches! $35

Coro Wondrous Pearly Openwork Swan Pin

If you love figural swans, you simply must have this exquisite little Coro piece. One of Coro's high quality jewels, the swan is beautifully made in textured goldtone metal, engraved on the swans neck and tail. The swan's body is wonderful faux pearl studded openwork, and the swan has a red rhinestone eye. Though the swan is only 1 5/8" x 1 3/8", she seems larger due to her curvy dome shape, standing about 1/2" from the pinstem. Circa 1960, this beauty is signed in back (c)CORO and is in Excellent condition. $35
