Monet Silver Vermeil Retro Link Bracelet & Dress Clip Set

This Monet set is as high in quality in any other costume jewelry you can find from this era, dated sometime in the 1940s, with the look of old gold and precious stones without the price. Our tests reveal that the metal is 800 coin silver with 10k heavy gold plating. The style is retro modern with repeated step patterns, sleek angles andand high dark ruby or garnet glass cabochons in serrated settings, and in the dress clips they are unfoiled and set openback. The jewels, especially the dress clips, are solid and heavy for their size. Clasping at 6 3/4" with a spring ring, and 1/2" wide, the  bracelet is for a small to medium-small wrist. The dress clips measure 1 1/2" each. These jewels are top of the line costume jewelry in Excellent condition. Each piece is signed MONET in block letters with the little mark over the E. Circa 1930. This incredibly colorful dress clip will be a fun investment-- because what could be better than spending your money and wearing 
it at the same time? This high quality jewel is featured in Roseann Ettinger's Popular Jewelry 1840-1940, at the bottom of page 39. Unfoiled rhinestones of ruby red, sapphire blue, warm topaz and amethyst are prong set openback into the beautiful gilded filigree setting.The main attraction is the enormous unfoiled warm topaz faceted glass oval, measuring 7/8" x 1 1/8". Stones like these are irreplaceable. The clip measures 1 3/4" x 2 1/4". Think of yourself wearing this beauty to holiday parties and other occasions with a solid color outfit. New England Glass Works Green Rhinestone Filigree Dress Clip Set 

My favorite jewelry era is the 1930s. The designs are so dear! These are the kind of jewels introduced to me while young, looking through my old grandmother's jewel box (she was born in 1886!,) and when you associate an era with someone you loved very much, it's easy to get hooked.Here is a set of dress clips featuring emerald green oval stones and round cabochons, and tiny accent stones, bead set into dark lacy filigree. The clips are dome shaped, like shields, and each measures 1 3/4" tall x 1 1/4" wide. The clips are signed inside with a chalice and the letters NE,signature of New England Glass works. Very Good condition. $68

This well made and colorful 1930s clip gleams with rich pink and sapphire blue round cabs at top and bottom, along with large oval sapphire blue, emerald green and ruby red rhinestones in serrated bezels. These are accented by small multicolor chatons still sparkling in elaborate dark metal filigree. The beaded floral openwork design is convex, rising in a partial dome above the clip mechanism. This wonderful old jewel is 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Marked N/E in a chalice, the signature of New England Glass Company jewels. Excellent condition! $48.

This colorful dress clip is from the early 1930s--note the large old Bohemian cut, (pyramid top) ovals in unusual colors--red & green. It is a combination of Art Deco and Victorian motifs, with the geometric open metalwork designs alternating with the large--16mm--glass stones. Yet below is an openwork Victorian style tulip & bead design. The base metal is gilded, with wear in back. This lovely clip is 1 7/8" tall x 1 1/2" and in Very Good condition. $48

Austro-Hungarian Revival Large Girandole Dress Clip

We have for your consideration this rare, elaborate dress clip. Because of the design, the variety of simulated stones, the faux pearls and the little white enameled flowers, we are certain that this was made during a revival of old the Austro-Hungarian jewels, probably circa 1930, a time when other, large Victorian revival jewelry was popular. Please examine the larger picture so you can see all the detail. Gilded brass filigree offers channel set rose cut faux sapphires and faux amethysts, alongside ruby colored chatons. Added are turquoise and coral colored beads, prong set in little flower cups. The metal work, full engraved with small designs builds up with applied layers to a jeweled medieval style cross in the center, flanked by baby tooth faux peals. The girandole dangles offer grace and movement. This fabulous dress clip comes with what I believe are all the original stones. A few have darkened ith age, but most are still brilliant with inner glow. 

The jewel is quite large at 3 3/4" tall x 2 1/8" at the widest point. Condition is amazingly very good, with a bit of wear in the gilding at high points. Invest in and enjoy this incredible clip today.$265

Those who love H. Pomerantz jewels will recognize this set due to the exquisite Victorian revival turned down corner curls that H. Pomerantz did from time to time. This set is from the 1940s and is in top condition, with applied rope style decoration, raised golden bulbs and two large (16mm) unfoiled baguettes side by side in serrated cups with foldover prongs. The gold tone finish has no noticeable fault except for darkening around the stones and mild wear in back. This set is truly rare, especially with both clips found together. The baguettes are set openback so you will never have foil damage. The clips measure 1 7/8" tall and 1 1/8" wide at the top; they are well made and heavy for their size. A set to last always, these jewels are each signed H. Pomerantz Inc. N.Y. You will not find these elsewhere. Excellent condition. Enjoy for $125.

H. Pomerantz Antique Celtic Knight Belt & Buckle

Circa 1890s. Although most of us have seen this well known H. Pomerantz buckle, it's very unusual find the entire belt intact. I have seen a photo of another H. Pomerantz warrior buckle--a Samurai. Perhaps H. Pomerantz made an entire line of warrior belts. If so, it would be quite a challenge to collect them all.

The 3" x 2" buckle is of shining silvertone and gilded openwork stamped with clovers, vines, & various textures. There are also applied metal embellishments, including the centerpiece bearded Celtic knight, his armor designed in a convex cross shape. He rises about 1/2" high; at first I thought it might open, locket style, but there are no hinges. The belt itself is made of a remarkable gold tone flexible tank-track style engraved linkage, about 1 inch wide. The belt clasps at 28-30." The buckle can be removed of course, to add to another belt if desired. Belt and buckle are both in Very Good condition; there's a bit minor wear on the gilding showing through silvertone. The blackish color is tarnish on the back of the buckle and in depressions. Marked H.POMERANTZ & CO. N.Y. $125.00
