Wild L.S. Co. 1940s Retro Sterling Vermeil Brooch These L.S. big brooches are getting very scarce; I haven't been able to find one awhile now. This wonderful retro modern floral brooch is fashioned most gracefully in thick sterling with gold-filled plating with the leaves pointing every which way as if swayed and bandied in a tropical storm, making the brooch an exciting study in artistic movement. Little scalloped cups contain prong set faux pearls. The large flower has a ring of prong set unfoiled prong set clear stones with an unfoiled green stone in the center. Dimensions are 3 1/2" tall x 2 5/8" wide. Under magnification, the green stone has a tiny chip just beneath a prong. Very little of the vermeil is worn away. Condition is rated Very Good and priced accordingly. Marked in back in a diamond shaped plate, L.S. CO, 1/20- 12K G.F., ON STERLING. A beautiful, substantial and elegant jewel! $58 |

The openwork heart offers three large bezel set rhinestrones--a heart shape, a teardrop and an oval, and is further decorted with red flow enamel. The gold tone Trifanium finish looks like real gold. Har Enameled Pear Brooch
If you love fruit jewelry, here's a hard-to find-Har pear, one of the most realistic pear pins you'll find. The metal is very rounded, doming about 5/8" above the pinstem. The faultless enamel is the exact color of a still-ripening pear, yellow-green, highlighted with lighter color and striated with darker colors quite artfully. Even the stem looks real. Crown Trifari Whirlwind Coral Bead Brooch SOLDTo enhance your complexion all summer long, this 1957 Trifari offering luxuriates in faux coral beads set in smooth golden Trifanium, a special alloy made by Trifari that looks like real gold. Shown in a 1957 advertisement showing the entire parure, both ad and part of the parure are shown on page 220 of COLLECTING COSTUME JEWELRY 202, by Julia C. Carrol. The brooch is about 1 7/8" in diameter and is dome shaped, giving about 1/2 lift from the pinstem. An ideal investment jewel, for the gal who want so spend her money and have it too! Jazzy Art Deco Geometric Plastic Pin Delightful and unusual, this diamond shaped Art deco pin is made up of individual bars of seamless vintage plastic. Did not test for bakelite, could be celluloid or Galalith, but I don't want to stick it in hot water. A transparent laminate seals all the bars together from the back. The pin fastens in back a sealed- on safety-pin finding. Colors are cream, red, green, yellow, blue and black, and the longer width measurement is 2 1/4". Enjoy this happy jazz-aged pin in Excellent condition for $48
