Florenza Enamel & White Glass Sea Floral Brooch A bit different than the usual flower power offerings of the 1960's, this Florenza brooch bespeaks the rich elegance one can expect from the designer. The flower is shaped in a high dome, the golden sunburst style setting of the flower covered in white glass beads and creamy colored enamel. The stem is a creamy grey green, reminiscent of an ocean flower of some kind. The brooch is 3" tall x 1 7/8" at the flowerhead which rises about 3/4" from the surface. Signed in back FLORENZA(c). Condition is Very Good, with magnification needed to see the occasional spot on the enamel. $48 |

Art Nouveau Revival Plique a Jour
Butterfly
Signed Brooch. I believe this unusual, well made butterfly brooch is circa 1970. In the late 1960s and early 1970's an Art Nouveau Revival became stylish not only in jewelry but also in other media and commercial art. Within the gold tone openwork, transparent colors allow light to shine through. The colors do look like enamel, thicker around the edges and thinner throughout the center. The clear colors are reddish, teal, and yellow in Gold tone openwork setting, accented by high quality clear crystal bezel set rhinestones. Measurements are 2 1/4" tall with 2" wingspan. Signed in back SFJ. Excellent condition. $68.

Signed Art Buddha Dangle Brooch I love these exotic ART Asian motif brooches; they were very stylish in the 1960s when ethnic styles of all kinds were explored by many designers. This one shows Buddha with a rhinestone star on top of his head, flanked on either side by Vasudhara, the Buddhist goddess of abundance and fertility. Dangling from the pin are coral colored beads and golden dangles. Total length is 3 1/2" and 2 1/4" wide. This highly collectible brooch is in Excellent condition. Signed in back ART(c). For the lover of unusual and exotic costume jewelry. $62 |

Chunky
Blue Green Teal Faceted Glass Brooch
These brooches with a single huge stone have been increasingly popular, and this one is an unusual teal color that is very stylish this winter and does absolute wonders for certain eye colors. The brooch setting is gold tone with big prongs holding the smoky bluish green glass--be sure to click on the gallery picture to see the enlargement--the color is much more accurate. . Naturally, the color will be affected by whatever you wear it with so experimenting should be a lot of fun. It measures about 1 3/4" wide, and is quite thick, the stone itself at least 1/3" thick. The setting is in very good condition; the stone itself is excellent, with no chips, cracks or problems of any kind. $45 |

Huge
Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Brooch Pin with Gold Circa 1900-1930s. This colorful profusion of wild roses and forget-me-nots is simply one of a kind, with its green foliage, subtle shades of yellow and blues, plus the margin of bright gold surrounding the lovely oval, which is a bit more rare than the burnished gold glazes. Someone painted a labor of love on this one. For anyone who collects these beautiful pieces, or who simply appreciates the sweet nostalgia of yesteryear, this is the perfect gift. Would make a beautiful addition to the latest romantic dresses, but that's not to say you can't dress up your leather jacket with it! The porcelain is flawless, the paint and glazes still bright and without chips or scratches. Dimensions are an enormous 2 5/8" x 2", which they called "belt pins" in the old days. Women used them to fasten fabric sash belts. This could be a later (1930s) piece, for the brass setting has an applied safety clasp rather than an open C. However, the porcelain may be much earlier, and re-set at a later date. The safety clasp certainly makes it easier to wear safely! Excellent condition. $68 More antique hand painted porcelain brooches and pins |

HUGE JJ Golden Panther Brooch Add some jungle drama to your look with this fabulous golden panther. The detail is wondrous indeed, showing ribs, muscles, teeth, claws, and that whip of a tail! Let him crawl lovingly across your jacket lapel, heavy blouse, sweatshirt or sweater. Hmmm, seems a little naughty, doesn't it? Dimensions are 4 1/2" long x 2" wide if you wear this brooch vertically as in photos, but you can also wear it horizontally. Signed JJ 1986. This brooch is probably gold plated, but we haven't tested yet. Excellent condition. $42 |

Lisner Pink
AB Rhinestone Floral Pin
This beautifully designed Lisner gold tone floral brooch appears to be a late 1950s or early 1960s design. The openwork fanning petals with ribbon like edges are elements of retro modern design, which I thought was unusual and what makes this jewel so special. Pink AB aurora borealis rhinestones perch from cups in the center of the flower. The textured leaves are exquisite. Signed in back (c)LISNER. Dimensions are 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/8" wide. Condition is excellent. $32 |

Delicious red rhinestones and red glass cabochons set in lacy gold tone openwork is suitable for day and evening for the beautiful woman on the go. Hint: this favorite Sarah brooch doesn't need to go in and out of your jewelbox--just keep it pinned to you jean jacket or soft sweater--or to that creamy silk blouse--until its time to clean. The brooch is 2 3/8" in diameter and heavy for its' size. Condition is Very Good, with small areas of foil loss on center cab. Priced accordingly. Signed (c)SARAHCOV in back. $18.00 |

Victorian Black Matte Enamel Mourning Pin This late Victorian mourning pin was probably worn as a waist pin, and may even have come with a set. The design may possibly be repousse, or cast into the metal; I don't think this is machine stamped. Some minor wear along the curved backside is bright silver colored. This wear can be seen only under 10x magnification. Otherwise there is no chipping or wear to the enameled finish. This pin is 2-1/4" long x 3/8" wide and has an open C-clasp. Very Good Condition. $28 |
