Portrait Brooch This exquisitely designed brooch will suit your most exotic mood, with the look of painted porcelain along with the 1960's style for ethnic jewels. The scenic transfer on white glass shows a man and woman dressed in colorful kimonos, enjoying a Japanese garden surrounded by trees and flowers, with snowy mountains in the background. The glass oval is set within a goldtone bamboo motif frame. This desirable jewel, signed ART(c), is 2" tall x 1 3/4" at the top. Excellent condition. $58 |

Autumn Splendor Dark Pink Swirl Lucite Leaf Pin A favorite pin by Sarah Coventry back from 1975 is Autumn Splendor, but with that heart melting marbled dark pink color, this jewel must be springtime and summer splendor as well. Guaranteed to brighten any complexion, and what could be better than the dash of happy color it brings when you wear it. This is a nice 1/8 thick slab of thermoset set in smooth, faultless goldtone, 2 7/8" tall and 1 1/2" wide. The earrings are harder to find; I promise to look for them. Meantime, enjoy the brooch in Excellent condition. $28

Little Nemo Large Nosegay Rhinestone Brooch This Little Nemo beauty is probably late 30's or early 40's with its layers of riveted rosettes around a central flower, all set with multicolor rhinestones that still offer plenty of flash after 70 years! The pot metal casting still has some of it's gilding, hence the bronzy look here and there, that gives it a very vintage look. Dimensions are 3 3/8" tall x 2 3/8" wide. Marked L/N 25 in back. Very Good condition. $62

H. Pomerantz Large Brooch with BIG Red Cabochons This unique jewel is not only glorious but also an interesting example of late 1940' jewelry styles, with Victorian revival elements coupled with Retro Modern military emblem design. Huge red glass cabs--the largest is 1 1/4" in diameter and nearly 1/4" thick--are riveted onto brass floral settings and attached with a golden mesh band. Victorianesque 1 3/8" brass pendant beads dangle from brass chain. Note the curved corners on the floral settings. In 1946, Herman Pomerantz filed a patent on the design, D147420, with the patent issued Sept. 2, 1947. The brooch is 4 1/2" total length and 1 5/8" wide at the widest point. It is signed on the back HPomernatz Inc. N.Y. Very Good ++ condition, with a very little wear on the back. $95. |

Fab 1970's Art Nouveau Revival Large Brooch If you're the kind of gal with a unique style and love being looked at, this brooch is your fairy godmother, here to grant your every wish. Madame butterfly wears a flowing golden grown and spreads her winged arms as if to grant wealth to all. The wings are a delightful faux cloisonné, meant to resemble Nouveau plique-a-jour, the vibrant colors never to be forgotten. That's red, green and midnight blue epoxy resin gleaming from within the golden web outline. Very well made and heavy for its size, the brooch is a bit over 3" tall and 2 1/2" wide at the wingspan. Condition is excellent. Luxuriate for $58. |

Victorian Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Roses An unusual design, not the fact that there are roses, but the shapes and colors used. Against a lovely series of pale yellow, blue and green glazes are three fabulous magenta roses, all painted from different angles and decked with a profusion of forest green foliage. A band of gilding neatly surrounds the edges of the porcelain, but this band does not extend into the picture and can only be seen from the side. The setting is the usual 6-pronged brass affair, with ball hinge, C-hook and extended pinstem. Pin is 2" tall x 1 5/8" wide. Excellent condition. $65

1930's Large Pave Rhinestone Tulips Bouquet
Brooch At 3 3/8" x 2 1/4", this graceful pre-Retro design in white metal, paved with clear rhinestones, will bring brilliance and style to the shoulder of that coat and happiness to your collection. Notice the larger chatons in faux prongs, rising as stamens from each tulip. All the rhinestones are present and still flash & sparkle at their hearts, though a few are a bit darkened, but there is neither yellowing nor dead stones. Someone took good care of this unsigned beauty. Altogether Very Good condition. $58.

Precious Hand-painted Porcelain Brooch with
Forget-Me-Nots and Golden Scrollwork. Go super feminine this spring with this turn-of-the-century hand painted porcelain brooch. This is one of the larger brooches, sometimes known as 'belt pins," because they could be used to fasten the cloth sashes of Edwardian times. Cascades of blue & white forget-me-nots and pale green foliage in a background of subtly shaded glazes delight the imagination. Framing the floral scene is exquisite decorative scroll work done with raised pastes covered with decorative matte gilding. The brooch is 2 3/8" tall x 2" wide, a big beauty prong set in the brass setting. It fastens with a old fashioned C-clasp.
